LIFESTYLE SHOP

THE MAIN IDEA IS TO BRING A FACILTY THAT COULD MAKE SHOPPING EASY AND RELAXING. DESIGNED WITH GREEN ROOFTOP AND BACKYARD CAFE, THIS SHOP COULD ALSO BE A PLACE TO SPEND SHORT LEISURE TIME. THIS SHOP IS MEANT TO BE ECONOMIC CATALYST OF THE AREA. NOT ONLY ACCOMODATING HIGHER END PRODUCTS, THIS SHOP IS ALSO WELCOMES MIDDLE CLASS SHOPPER. BESIDE SHOP, THIS BUILDING ALSO HAVE A RESTAURANT ON ITS GROUND FLOOR AND A ROOFTOP GARDEN ON ITS 4TH FLOOR WHERE SUNSET COULD BE ENJOYED BY CUSTOMER. PRIORITIZING NATURAL SUNLIGHT, THIS SHOP USES SEMI-TRANSPARANT MATERIAL AS FACADE. PERFORATED COPPER PANEL AS SECONDARY SKIN PREVENTS STRONG SUN BEAM FROM WEST SIDE OF THE BUILDING YET STILL ALLOWING THE LIGHT SHINE THROUGH THE CURTAIN WALL. THERE ARE ALSO HINGE WINDOW AS CURTAIN PANELS THAT COULD BE OPEN ALLOWING NATURAL AIR THROUGH.

Jl. veteran is a second artery class road and is a commercial district. The site of this project is located right by the main street, thus makes it strategic and beneficial. The only entrance to this site is via one way Jl. Veteran from west direction coming. Main view seen are from east and north of the building.


ANALOGY

THE BASIC FORM DERIVED FROM A CHANDELIER SHILOUETTE. IT IS TO BRING LUXURY AND ELEGANCE FEEL TO THE BUILDING. THERE ARE THREE MAIN COMPONENTS TAKEN FOR THIS CONCEPT.THE FIRST IS GRAVITY DEFYING FORM, IMPLIED BY THE MIDDLE FLOOR BEING LARGER AND TALLER THAN THE REST GIVING SENSE OF UNIQUENESS AND GRANDNESS. THE SECOND PRINCIPLE IS VERTICAL ELEMENT IMPLIED BY THE ARRANGEMENT OF THE SECONDARY SKIN. THE THIRD COMPONENT IS PERFORATED, MEANING THE BUILDING WILL BE SEMI TRANSPARANT ENCLOSED WITH PERFORATED PANEL. IT GIVES THE SENSE OF EXCLUSIVITY WHILE STILL ALLOWING SUNLIGHT PEEK THROUGH.

SADANG SERANG IS A QUITE CROWDED RESIDENTIAL AREA MAINLY AS STUDENT’S REN MASTERPLAN GOAL WAS TO REORGANIZE THE THEN-CROWDED AREA TO BE MORE MANAGED H AND NODES IN BETWEEN. ALMOST ALL STREET ARE CONNECTED AND ONLY HAVE GREEN BA APARTMENT IS LOCATED RIGHT BY THE MAIN ROAD TO ACCOMODATE STUDENT RENTS BECAU

LOCATED DIRECTLY BY THE RIVER WITH QUITE EXSTREME SLOPE, THE EAST SIDE OF T THERE IS ALSO A PUBLIC WATER FACIILITY TO ACCOMODATE WATER SUPPLY AND GREY WA


NT HOUSES AND FLAT BUILDINGS AND SLUM AREOUND THE RIVERSIDE. THE REDESIGNED HOUSING. THE CONCEPT IS PERMEABLE COMMUNITY LIVING IMPLIED BY CLUSTER HOUSES ARRIER TO MAKE THE AREA SEEMS OPEN AND CREATE A BIG COMMUNITY WITHIN. THE USE THE ROAD IS ACCESSIBLE BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION.

THE AREA IS DESIGNED TO BE A RESERVOIR AREA AND A PUBLIC FOREST. IN THIS AREA ATER TREATMENT.

DESIGN IMPLICATION ZONING

The area is divided into 4 main zones. The commercial zone are located mainly along the main street to increase income from surrounding areas. The housing area is divided into 3 categories, the apartment located right by the public transport access road, the upper class housing located on the upper street and the middle class on the lower street. The greenery zone is functioned to be the community barrier and also as a public space.

PERMEABLE ACCESS

having 3 entrances makes this housing accessible by communities around it. because of the existin main road being a public transport track, it is being preserved and be the semi-public area of the housing. the streets are divided into 3 hierarchies and are differs in width giving the sense of place to them. The streets are also designed to ease the navigation with a roundabout as the centre of the navigation.

SELF SUPPORT

One of the area’s problem is that the PDAM water often stop and this is answered by providing public water tank in the higher slope to store water from PDAM and distributed around the housing with the help of gravity. The housing area is also designed to have its own water treatment plant next to the forest as the filter.

KOSAMBI LIFESTYLE PARK IS A MIX-USE FACILITY CONSISTING OF COMMERCIAL, OFFICE, CO-WORKING SPACE, AND RESIDENTIAL AREA LOCATED IN JL. MALABAR, BANDUNG CITY. THE INTERESTING SITUATION IS THE SITE THAT IS LOCATED IN THE CORNER SURROUNDED BY 3 STREETS INHABITTED BY DIFFERENT ECONOMY CLASS COMMUNITIES. THE CONCEPT OF THIS FACILITY IS A PERMEABLE BUILDING. THE MAIN GOAL AS AN IMPLICATION OF THAT CONCEPTIS THIS BUILDING AS A SOCIAL BRIDGE. DESIGNED TO GIVE A WELCOMING AND INCLUSIVE IMPRESSION TO MAKE LOWER CLASS COMMUNITY FEEL WELCOMED WHILE KEEPING THE HIGHER CLASS FEEL COMFORTABLE. BIG BOULEVARD WITH KIOSKS ACT AS AN OPEN SPACE AND ALSO AS A SOCIAL INTERACTION CATALYST BETWEEN THOSE COMMUNITIES. THE RESIDENTIAL BUILDING IS DESIGNED OCCUPYING THE 3RD-9TH FLOOR AND IS SEPARATED INTO 3 TOWERS FACING MAINLY NORTH AND SOUTH. THE 3RD FLOOR HAVE THE AMMENITIES THAT COULD BE ACCESED BY APARTMENT RESIDENTS. EACH TOWER HAS THEIR OWN LOBBY TO INCREASE THE SENSE OF EXCLUSIVITY AND ALSO THE MATTER OF SECURITY.

Responding to the differce of community status surrounding the site is the tenants placement that comply to each needs and preferences according to field study. Also, the circulation area is made to be wide and open without clear barrier with surrounding area to imply that the facility is open for people arround to pass through. The circulation area also designed to be park-like giving comfort and welcoming feeling so the lower class people wouldn’t get intimidated and nerveous to walk through this facility.

arcades are use along the circuation area to sope with the zero border policy on the main street and to provide shaded pedestrian for customer to walk comfortably.

A SURVIVAL GAME

“HIDUP SEKADAR HIDUP” IS AN INDONESIAN PHRASE MEANS LIVING LIFE AS IT IS, WHEN LIVING IS A MERELY SURVIVAL GAME. LIFE D

JUST A MERE JUNKMAN”

BEING A JUNKMAN NEED A LOT OF PHYSICAL EFFORT. GET AROUND THE CITY TO SEEKING FOR WASTE, THEN SORT IT AND WAIT FOR C BECAUSE OF THE LIMITED STORAGE SPACE THEY HAVE. THE REASON BEHIND THE IDEOLOGY IS A JUSTIFICATION ABOUT THE JOB. AS A M ARE: NOT EVERYONE HAVE THE PERSISTANCE TO DO SUCH HARD WORK.

WE ASSUMED THAT WASTE BANK CAN DEVELOP THE COMMUNITY CONFIDENCE, BUT IT CAN NOT BE COMMON WASTE BANK. IT SHOULD B A CALL FOR THE JUNKMAN. PHYSICALLY, THE ROM-BANK ACCELERATE THE DISTRIBUTION PROCESS AND INCREASE THE STORAGE CAPAC STORAGE ROOM AND THOSE WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TOGETHER. THIS IS MUCH FASTER AND TAKE MUCH LOWER COST. INCREASED STORA PERCEPTION OF JUNKMAN. THE COMMUNITY SHOULD BELIEVE THAT A JUNKMAN CAN DO MUCH BIGGER THING BEYOND MERELY SORTING GOODS TOGETHER, AND DO FUN THINGS TOGETHER.

DEFINED AS LONG AS YOU ARE NOT DEAD BY HUNGER. THIS IDEOLOGY REMAIN IN THE MOST OF LOW INCOME COMMUNITY.

CUSTOMER TO BUY IT. SOMETIMES, WAIT FOR THE COLLECTOR TO ORDER IT. THEY ONLY HAVE A LIMITED AMOUNT OF WASTE TO SELL MERE JUNKMAN, IT IS REASONABLE TO GETTING LOW MONEY ALTHOUGH ALL THE EFFORT. THEY NOT YET REALIZE HOW PRECIOUS THEY

BE PROPERLY DESIGNED, PHYSICALLY AND NON PHYSICALLY. WE CALL IT THE ROM-BANK, IN JAVANESE IT PRONOUNCED AS “ROMBENG”, CITY. WE INTREGATING THE DISTRIBUTION PROCESS BY MAKING A COLLECTIVE DISTRIBUTION. COMMUNITY GATHER THEIR WASTE IN THE AGE ROOM EXPAND THE AMOUNT OF STORED WASTE AND INCREASE THE INCOME. NON-PHYSICALLY, THE ROM-BANK SHIFT THEIR OWN G THE WASTE. BY DOING SOCIAL ACTIVITIES, THEY MOVE FORWARD TO ANOTHER LEVEL OF JUNKMAN. THEY LEARN TOGETHER, PRODUCE

ITB JATINANGOR CANTEEN INTERIOR DESIGN COMPETITION 2018 2ND PLACE WINNER MENTOR : DR.ENG. HANSON ENDRA KUSUMA ST,M.ENG

Being the only canteen available in the entire campus makes this canteen always crowded. The design concept to solve this focused mainly on functionality and flexibility. Spaces are created to accomodate various activities but not too cozy to make the luchtime flow faster. Many furniture is reused from available inventoriy to cut cost. Beside the space, this design also wish to redesign user’s behavior to take care of their own food and wastes. The buffet system, minimal work of janitor, and dirty dishes stacking spots are implementations of this design intention.
