The Chemistry building was designed by Rogers Centre architects, Rod Robbie and Michael Allen. It was built with a special safety feature that includes a “pop‐ up” roof that would release an increase in pressure if an explosion ever were to occur. This feature would safe‐guard all of the buildings in the vicinity
