N ILOU FE R Water lily is a timeless symbol of beauty and eternity. As a symbol in Indian culture and mythology , the water lily is found throughout the hindu scriptures. Water lily is also known as “Niloufer”, after which the collection has been named. It blooms during the night and looks most mysterious against a dark background. This was the key source for my inspiration. “Niloufer’’ is a rare black enamel collection enhanced with gold, polki and south sea pearls.
A classic statement neckpiece exploring the traditional Indian jewellery making techniques such as Jadau and kundan meena.
Contemporary style of pendants with polki settings and black meenakari designed for the young women.
A classic choker neckpiece ( left), a finger ring ( top right) and a bangle ( bottom right) ; all with black kundan meenakari work, set with polki and enhanced with south sea pearls. All three using the same motifs.
A modern jhumka ( top) and a Chandbali (bottom) as part of the range.
A minimal and opulent collar neckpiece set with polkis in black meenakari gives a modern take to traditional craftsmanship.
F L IGHT OF FA NC Y Some birds are not meant to be caged, their feathers are just too bright. Keeping up with my fascination with nature. The collection is titled ‘‘Flight of Fancy’’ which could mean one’s flight of freedom. The collection is a reflection of myself , my own ambition of flying high. The collection takes inspiration from Colibri or Hummingbird, the bird flaps it wings 50 times per second. ‘‘Flight of fancy’’ collection is based on robotic birds and the entire range is made from 22 Karat rose gold with diamond setting. The range also makes use of white enamel. It aims to target young women in their 30s.
I want to sing like the birds sing, not worrying about who hears or what they think.
