Managing Director Andris Spunītis offered some insight into how the company operates, during an interview with Inside Sustainability. Report by Imogen Ward.
ASthe official representative of ROLL-TECH A/S in Latvia, which offers the widest range of spacer bars for the glass manufacturing and processing industry, ThermEco is dedicated to the supply of Rolltech glass profiles and Fenzi materials for the production of double-gazed units.Situated in Jelgava, Latvia, ThermEco benefits from prime real estate with plenty of space for storage.
“My office is located right in the heart of the city, in a recently renovated building,” remarked Managing Director Andris Spunītis. “Thanks to our perfect positioning in the city centre, our warehouse can be easily located by foot or by vehicle.”
The Jelgava warehouse provides ample storage space for the entire portfolio of products that ThermEco distributes. By having a backlog of products on-hand, the company can guarantee super-fast delivery of glass profiles. Additionally, any out-of-stock products can be precured and sent separately to the rest of a customer’s order to ensure they get their items as quickly as possible.
“It is because of this quality, accuracy and dedication, that we can offer a stand-out service to our customers that surpasses the competition,” said Mr Spunītis. “Every single project we take on is unique and seeks to counteract the challenges that often occur when it’s time to discuss price.”
T he company also believes in operating with a green touch. According to Mr Spunītis, business is only possible when a company is socially responsible.
ThermEco abides by a strategy of green thinking, utilising energy-saving solutions for heating and lighting. It also conducts all logistical operations in a way that mitigates any negative impact on the environment.
With this in mind, ThermEco also endeavours to work with companies that reciprocate this commitment.
A clear-cut offering
Currently, ThermEco supplies the widest range of glass profiles, coming in various materials, shapes and technical solutions. To do so, the company relies on the expertise of Rolltech and Fenzi.
Rolltech is the world leading manufacturer of profiles for the glass industry. With more than 35 years’ experience in the market, t he company currently offers a wide portfolio focused on quality, efficiency and performance. Out of this range, ThermEco supplies seven options. Four of which are developed for the CHROMATECH range.
CHROMATECH and CHROMATECH Plus
are pure stainless-steel profiles benefiting from the bendability of stainless steel while providing the appearance of its aluminium counterparts.
Designed to be hybrid hot edge profiles, CHROMATECH Ultra S and CHROMATECH
Ultra F are constructed using a combination of plastic and stainless steel. These spacers are designed to prevent high surface temperatures, reducing the risk of mould. They also meet the requirements for certification from the Passive House Institute, highlighting them as excellent low-energy options within the fenestration market.
The hybrid design also provides additional benefits, including excellent bending properties, high frame stability and U-v alues on the lower end of the scale.
For those in the market for a warm edge profile with low U-value, no metal and a gas-tight foil, MULTITECH G is the perfect choice. Made entirely of hard plastic, this profile is a fresh face on the market, that benefits from high frame stability and flexibility that allows for bending after heating. Running with the theme of flexibility is BENDTECH, made from aluminum and famed for its malleability, this profile is perfect for incorporating more unusual shapes and designs
Finally, FERROTECH is the answer to the industry’s safety needs. Made from 6.5mm of galvanised steel, these spacers are the perfect choice to secure fire glass and large windows.
The multinational chemical company Fenzi is also an important element in ThermEco’s success, supplying sealants, including Butylver, Poliver and Hotver.
A world class service
ThermEco takes the stress out of the sale by providing all the information needed before sorting, packaging and delivering the products straight to its clients’ doors.
“We are so grateful for our customers, partners and suppliers, each one as important as one another,” said Mr Spunītis. “We are also always open to new collaborations and ideas and are jus t a phone call away for anyone that would like to collaborate with us.”
Despite ongoing geopolitical challenges, ThermEco has remained present and operational and intends to continue to do so going forward.
“Generally speaking, ThermEco’s future plans involve attracting new customers while providing a broader offering within a more diverse business area,” added Mr Spunītis, in conclusion.
“We will retain a positive attitude, because every new day brings with it new possibilities and keeps us busy.
“Our formula for success will also remain at the forefront of everything we do: finding new projects that are made in Latvia, while utilising high quality, good prices and the very best solutions.”
