Partnership yealds drone surveillance solution
A partnership between 360 Vision Technology and Openworks Engineering has resulted in a drone detection and tracking solution. The Predator SkyView360 camera is a complete integrated optical and autonomous counterdrone surveillance solution.
Predator SkyView360 uses advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI), called SkyAI, to autonomously detect and track any drone, classifying by type and differentiating between drone and other, non-threatening flying objects, such as birds. The technology can also be used to alert to other ground or water borne threats.
Using AI technology the cameras utilise pixelaccurate technology to track any unmanned vehicle both above and below the horizon - even on the visually complex backgrounds common to many applications.

Indoor siren raises the alarm and lights the way
Pyronix has announced the release of its indoor siren with combined courtesy light, the mainspowered wireless Speaker/Sounder-WE.
Replicating the tones of the control panel, the Speaker/Sounder-WE audibly alerts users to system activity, while the bright courtesy light provides visual indication of system activity; strobing in the event of an alarm activation, slow flashing for a chime and illuminating constantly as the user enters/exits the property or as a safety light in the event of a fire. This functionality can be particularly useful for hard of hearing users; keeping them up to date with any activity. The bright courtesy light will also illuminate constantly for up to 30 minutes in the event of a mains power fail.

NVRs apply AI functionality to non-AI cameras
Five new Wisenet P series AI NVRs launched by Hanwha Techwin are able to apply AI metadata to images captured by most non-AI Wisenet cameras, allowing users to quickly and accurately search for people and vehicles.
The licence-free Deep Learning AI video analytics onboard the NDAA compliant NVRs offer a wide range of search criteria including, for example, looking for people of a certain age group or gender, as well as whether they are wearing glasses or carrying a bag. Similarly, a search for vehicles can be narrowed down to those of a particular colour and whether they are a bicycle, bus, car, motorbike or truck.
The NVRs can also be set up to trigger real-time alarm notifications if an object is detected.
Selected bullet, fixed, PTZ, 360° fisheye, multi-directional and thermal cameras from the Wisenet X, P, Q and T series, are among the long list of cameras supported by the new NVRs. In addition, as is the case with 32 and 64 channel Wisenet X NVRs, the new devices are able to support all the features built into the Wisenet P series AI cameras, including the classification and detection of faces and licence plates.
Operators can take full advantage of the NVRs’ functionality with the help of UX 2.0, a new user interface which offers zoom in/out and drag and drop support and a timeline preview feature, as well as enabling all event settings to be edited in a single window.
