Multisensor cameras with AI intelligence at the edge

Johnson Controls has added a multisensor camera to its Illustra Pro range. Multisensor Pro Gen4 cameras are equipped with deep learning AI and the ability to classify many human and vehicle targets within a scene. A list of subclassification and object attribute capabilities for each sensor provides real time alerts and forensic search capabilities.

Available in 20MP and 32MP models, the Illustra Pro Multisensor cameras boast WDR, defog and built-in IR illuminators, up to 30m (98ft) functionality. Four motorised, individually repositionable varifocal lenses utilising one network connection andone camera licence means a lower cost of deployment. Latest version of VMS leverages power of AI

Hanwha Techwin Europe has launched Wisenet WAVE 5.0, the latest version of its VMS (video management system). Designed in direct response to the prolific rise in the use of AI, this version expands its focus on leveraging the power of AI analytics, cybersecurity, system usability and new interactivity capabilities for admins and end users.

Advanced Object Search is now available, so operators can search for objects which have been identified by analytics and stored in video archives by their specific attributes, such as object type, colour, gender, age, or clothing. This is also viewable in a new pop-out window to improve the flow of an operator’s work. Other updates include new usability and admin features that make it easier to manage video footage from groups of cameras using a range of recording options, such as motion and low-res, or motion and objects.

Multi-stream, multi-media hybrid encoder and recorder

Vemotion Interactive has released the VB-400, a rugged MIL-SPEC, multi-stream, multi-media hybrid encoder and recorder.

The VB-400 encoder supports any mix of analogue and IP cameras, and HDMI and HDSDI inputs. Capitalising on Vemotion’s V-TX transmission technology, VB-400 delivers low latency and image quality transmitted at efficient bitrates, even within the most challenging of wireless (GPRS, 3G, 4GLTE, 5G, Wi-Fi and Satellite), or wired (UTP and fibre) network conditions.

Suitable for a variety of video transmission applications, the aluminium bodied MIL-SPEC VB-400 is ideal for use in harsh environments, such on-board vehicles or extremes of operating temperature.

Software for tailored redundancy applications

Secure Logiq has unveiled Logiqal CORE, the latest addition to its portfolio of HD surveillance storage solutions. Logiqal CORE is a software layer that has been designed to provide tailored redundancy for security industry applications and offers benefits to users in two main areas, virtualisation and resilience.

With Logiqal CORE, identical or disparate operating systems can be installed on a single server across a number of Virtual Machines (VMs). This overcomes application features and limitations. Implementing Logiqal CORE translates into lower total costs of ownership by reducing the number of physical servers, resources, rack space and power requirements.

The security industry is busy and complex, so it’s easy to miss new products and services as they get lost in day-to-day activities. Every now and again, certain products grab our attention so here we take a look at a few of the products we think you won’t want to miss this month. Entire PTZ range is revamped

i-PRO has added AI to its PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) cameras and revamped its entire PTZ range, adding a total of 35 new cameras.

Delivering on its mission of AIification of the security industry, iPRO has added its first AI-enabled PTZ cameras to the S-Series. The cameras include a built-in AI processor enabling automatic tracking to make operators lives easier. The cameras can run two different Deep Learning AI applications at the edge of the network, reducing load and server infrastructure costs. Thanks to i-PRO’s open platform AI strategy, the Software Developer Kit (SDK) can also be used to integrate 3rd party specialist applications. I-PRO has also added PTZ cameras to its U-Series, its cost effective range for the most price sensitive installations. i-pro.com/eu/en/surveillance

NDAA compliant range of cameras is extended

IDIS has launched four new 8MP and 6MP PTZ cameras that extend the company’s NDAA compliant line-up. The new choice of outdoorready and vandal-resistant 8MP (DC-S6881HRX) and 6MP (DCS6681HRX) models combine infrared (IR) technology with powerful 31x optical zoom, autofocus lenses and 30 frames per second to provide broad coverage, even in low-light settings. Designed for wide-area surveillance operations, the new models give users the ability to quickly verify security events, with the capability to clearly identify objects and recognise faces at distances of up to 300m for forensic purposes. Two-way audio also provides operators with the ability to pre-configure alerts or issue verbal warnings. This makes them ideal for town and city surveillance, road junctions, parking areas, perimeter security, and open areas within shopping malls, sports facilities, hotels, logistics firms, and warehouses.

Camera features include IDIS Smart Failover ensuring uninterrupted coverage; built-in heaters; IDIS Intelligent Codec to deliver bandwidth and storage savings; true WDR, and electronic image stabilisation to minimise the impact of vibration and shaking. They also come equipped with motion detection, tampering alarms, and a range of smart PTZ features that can move between pre-set positions and zoom in automatically in response to detected objects or events.
