Malt is known as Germinated cereal grain which are dried and used for malting. The grains are soaked in water in order to germinate and are dried with hot air. The malting grain develops the enzymes in order to convert the starch in to sugar. This will break down the protein in the grain in to forms that can be used by yeast. Malt consists of sugar in small amount such as sucrose and fructose. These two are not the product of starch but modified already in grain. Malted grain is useful for making beer and whisky products also used for shakes and vinegar. They are also used for many purposes. Grain which is malted in coarse meal is known as sweet meal. High protein form of malted barley is been labeled as one
of the main ingredient typically used for manufacturing yeast breads and other goods which are baked. The malt is a term which refers to several products which are produced. We prepare malt using malting methods which includes the following procedures. Barley been spread on the floor of malt house during traditional process. Converting the cereals and grains to malt.
