Don’t forget to write down the words you don’t know! After college, He decided to become a teacher. He wanted to help other people learn about important things like equality and justice.
But he didn't stop there. Du Bois also became a writer and a leader in the fight against racism.
He wrote books and articles that showed how unfair it was to treat people differently just because of their skin color.
Du Bois believed that everyone should be treated with respect and kindness, no matter what they looked like.
His words inspired many people to stand up for what was right. He traveled all over the country, speaking to large crowds and encouraging others to join him in the fight for equality.
Don’t Forget about the NAACP. I was just reading that w.e.b. Du Bois was one of the organization’s founders. I never heard of the NAACP. what is that? what does it stand for? ... and what did Du Bois do?
