WHY APPLY?
The Middle East Professional Learning Initiative (MEPLI) is based in with Professional Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE). Professional Education serves nearly 14,000 educators in almost 120 countries annually with transformative professional learning experiences.
As a Fellow, you will:
MEPLI supports teacher educators and system level leaders in developing practices, programs, and structures to help improve student opportunities for learning and achieving productive sustainable lives.
WHAT IS THE MEPLI FELLOWSHIP? MEPLI aims to develop the capacity of teacher educators’ in the region. The Fellowship is job-embedded and lasts for one year, providing scholarships for Professional Education courses (online and/or residential) and support for incorporating learning into existing work. Fellows receive a certificate from Professional Education upon successful completion of the program.
• Join a cohort of 20+ peers, share your expertise and benefit from the expertise of your cohort • Participate in residential and/or online programs at the Harvard Graduate School of Education • Strengthen your leadership within your professional networks and facilitate connections for further collective improvement • Participate in local professional convenings with your cohort and other change agents • Receive support and coaching for incorporating what you learn into your work
WHO SHOULD APPLY? Teacher educators with demonstrated commitment to education development in the region and with experience in teaching training and development in the context of schools, higher education, government programs, or NGOs. Scholarships are available for teacher educators in Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine. Partial funding is available for teacher educators in other parts of the region.
