PROFILE STAGE I MODIFIED CHASSIS .

The Stage I Chassis is the chassis that PROFILE has built its reputation for quality work­ manship, reliability, structural strength and simplicity in the field of oval track racing. Our frames are constructed of high strength 1020 seamless mechanical tubing, with a 2" x 4" .120 w. rectangular subframe. The basic PROFILE chassis is a parallel ladder design, which has very successfully proven will take the rugged punishment of dirt track racing. CANTILEVER SUSPENSION KIT The cantilever suspension offers the best road holding and stability possible for any solid axle suspension. PROFILE'S engineering staff was the first ever to design such a suspension for a solid axle car, front and rear; and PROFILE was the first ever to make this suspension available for market. When using the cantilevers it is absolutely imperative to use an anti-roll bar for maximum performance. Kit includes chrome-moly tubular axle with radius rod brackets; four radius rods with 3/4" heim ends and jam nuts; aluminum alloy cantilevers; Koni shockswithchromevanadium springs; anti-roll bar kit; panhard rod with brackets; and all necessary links, spacers and hardware. This kit is also available with a wider axle and negative offset wheels to give the proper scrub radius and make the use of power steering unnecessary, even with a 6: lover-all steering ratio. Specify what track width required, and if negative or common offset wheels.

BOLT-ON INDEPENDENT SUSPENSION Not just an independent suspension, but a complete suspension system which incorporates all of the finest quality components available today, 'with the best geometry one can have. There is no guessing for the customer as to the placement of the components, all the home­ work has been done by our engineering staff. The subframe comes complete with the pick-up points mounted in the exact location. The rack and pinion's length and height affords no measurable bump or toe-steer, whatsoever. The system is designed to bolt up to any chassis with minor fabrication, not just to the Profile chassis. The hubs are available in the 5 x 5 Grand National pattern or the large diameter stock car pattern; and the track width (center to center of the tires) will be built to your specifications. The standard track is 64-3/8 inches. STEEL BILLET HUB Our C.N. steel billet hub is machined from 4340 heat-treated steel billet. Hub is designed for extra heavy duty bearings with 1.625 I.D. inner bearing and 1.156 I.D. outer bearing. Hub comes complete with all bearings, races, seal, dustcap and 5/ 8" fast start studs.

ALUMINUM REAR HUB

BOLT ON FRONT C.N. STUB SPINDLE

Truly a unique item, our aluminum rear hub is designed to take the same special roller bear­ ings as the CN steel rear hub. Wheel studs are 5/ 8" and are threaded completely through hub and secured positively with a locking set screw thus allowing maximum stud strength. These aluminum hubs carry a weight savings of 31h lbs. over the regular steel rear hub.

Never offered before by any other manufactur­ er, a bolt-on front C.N. stub spindle for early Ford spindles. This stub spindle is machined from steel alloy forging and heat-treated for maximum strength. Spindle is designed to use heavy duty bearings with our hubs. All bearing surfaces are ground for precise bearing toler­ ances. Spindle comes complete with 4 grade 8 bolts for mounting to early Ford spindle and special retaining castle ~ut.

ALUMINUM ALLOY CANTILEVER

These cantilevers are available separately. They are the same units as used on our Stage II chassis. Cast from 356-T6 aluminum alloy, they incorporate the use of stainless steel tabs and roller bearing fulcrum; to give light weight, strength, corrosion resistance, and freedom of operation. The tabs are bored for 7/16" bolts, the fulcrum bearing is for 1/2" bolt. The cantilevers come with all necessary hardware, mounting brackets, and spacers. The cantilever ratio is designed to be used with the 8211-1121 Koni Shocks and the 10.6 in. free length spring. PR-200

SPHERICAL BEARING SPACERS

No need for lost bushings or time consuming place­ ment of spacers while changing shocks. Our bush­ ings are designed to be pressed into the uniball on the Koni shock absorber. These bushings also allow the proper spacing for mounting shock in a bind· free position. 7/16" bolt must be used for mount­ ing shock in place of regular 1/2" bolt. Made from high quality steel. Bushings come four to a package for one shock.

These spacers are used to space spherical bearings where more angUlarity is desired or simply for spacing bearings where binding might be possible. Available for 1/2", 5/8", and 3/4" spherical bear­ ings. PR-202

ANTI-ROLL BAR

Profile's engineering staff was the first ever to engineer a modified car with the proper roll rate to vertical ride rate ratio through the use of anti-roll bars. The car sat on the pole of the 1973 Pocono Mod. Race. In order to allow the use of proper vertical ride rates, without excessive roll, it is mandatory that the roll rates be increased. The most efficient and practi­ cal means of increasing the roll rate is through the use of anti-roll bars. The anti-roll bar will provide a dynamic wedge condition during cornering, hence allowing the car to be much more maneuverable in traffic where the racing is. Profile's anti-roll bars are the lightest on the market. Available in solid or tubular construc­ tion. The anti-roll bar kits include aluminum mounting blocks, a specially heat trea ted 4140 bar, with integral arms, all links, rod ends, spacers, jam nuts, and hardware. The standard bar has a mounting length of 37 inches from arm to arm, with variable arm length from 7%" to 10-3/4". The bar diameters available are 0.750", 0.875",1.000", and 1.125". Special diam­ eters upon request. When a hollow bar is desired specify the equivalent solid bar size and the word "hollow". Profile will then supply the hollow bar requested with the same rate as the solid bar specified. Custom length bars are available upon request at a minimum extra charge. PR-203

BOOMERANG STEERING Our boomerang steering is designed to be used with our tubular axle and cantilever suspen­ sion. The steering arms are designed as a weld on application replacing the weak stock Ford steering arms on spindles. Kit includes two precision flame cut 1/2" steel arms, reamed for 3/4" Ford tie rod ends, 50 inches of 1" 0.0. heavy wall tubing for tie rod, two 3/4" Ford tie rod ends (one left hand, one right hand), and jam nuts. Precision machined king-pin ends, jig assembled and welded from 2% o. d. x .250 wall chrome-moly tubing. Available in 48", 49", 50", 51" and 53" king-pin centers for either 13/16 or 7/8 king-pins for Ford spindles. Preci­ sion flame-cut radius rod brackets for either 5/8 or 3/4 heim ends or Ford tie rod ends. When order­ ing, specify axle length , king pins center to center, size of king pins, type of radius rods to be used, and location of radius rod bracke ts from center of axle. Our weight jackers are made from high grade materi­ als. 1" threaded shaft is threaded into our 1/4" plate steel formed spring retainer, which has rounded pad for spring to slide on. REAR MOUNTING KIT

Our precision formed axle pad comes radiused for 3" axle tube and pad width of 2%". On axle pad is we\d~d a taper reamed mount for tie rod end racing shocks. Precision formed and punched frame brackets and precision punched and counter­ sunk block plate are included in motor mount kit, plus all tubing and hardware. Available only for 327 - 454 cu. in. TRANSMISSION MOUNT Our transmission mount was designed and built as a removable item from chassis plus acting as a substantial cross member when bolted in. Our custom built radiators are designed to cool race cars under the most severe conditions. Featuring an exclusive flow-through design, 4" copper fin core, brass lockseam tubes, brass tanks, heavy gauge steel side brackets, and water filler neck. RADIATOR MOUNTING KIT Our radiator mounting kit is designed to hold radiator in a rigid position in chassis, yet allow quick removal when necessary. Ki t includes formed channel for supporting radiator in chassis, chassis hoop with mounting tabs for upper support clamps on radiator. This hoop also acts as front hood mount for car. Also inCluded in kit are 2 stamped brackets for side mounting the radiator, plus all hardware.

RADIATOR SHROUD No more over heating problems due to mud or dirt filled radiator cores. Our shrouds are designed to deflect all dirt and mud from core, yet allow maximum air flow for proper cooling. Fabricated from quality materials with steel frame, precision formed aluminum replacable fins, and mounting flanges. Shroud measures 22" wide, 23" high, 1-1/2" thick. EDCO DISC BRAKES By far one of the finest disc brakes offered today is Edco. These units are used exclusively on PROFILE race cars. One wheel includes 1 - 4 or 6 piston magnesium caliper with quick change brake pads, 1 - vented rotor, 1-5 x 5 aluminum hat, or aluminum hat for modified hub, and 2 steel mounting brackets for pro perly mounting calipers rigidly . CUSTOM OFF-SET STEEL RIMS Along with our wheel repair service, we are now able to offer a wheel service never offered by any wheel manufacturer before. Steel wheels with proper offsets to allow proper geometry, easier steering, les strain on Icing pins and bearing and more handling stability. FUEL CELL

Our fuel cell is a 22 gal. saddle type tank designed to straddle quick-change center section,

allowing the advantage of a low center of gravity for fuel supply. This greatly enhances the

handling of a race car. Fuel cell comes complete with our specially designed and fabricated

steel canister with mounting flanges, A.T.L. fuel bladder, Nascar filler neck, and all necessary

lines and hardware.

CHASSIS SHEET METAL KIT Without a doubt one of the hardest and most time consuming jobs of building a race car is

the interior cockpit sheet metal work. Well, no longer is this a headache. PROFILE has taken

the time and consideration to design and fabricate a sheet metal kit for this purpose. All

sheet metal is either 18 gao or 20 gao cold rolled sheet, formed and sheared for front fire wall

rear fire wall, floor pan, side panels, and rolled radius for forming sheet metal around side

bars. This is the answer for that professional finishing touch. Available for PROFILE chassis

only.

PLEXIGLASS WINDSCREEN

FRONT WINDSHIELD SCREEN A must for every modified or sportsman car, to keep track debris from getting into driver's compartment. Screen is heavy gauge wire with 1" squares. Measures 30" x 48".
