“Active research on virtual communication has been conducted relatively recently since the early 1990s - and is becoming increasingly intense.” The rowing interest of representatives from different humanitarian subjects (philosophers, sociologists, psychologists, culture researchers, linguists) in this topic is explained not so much by the unprecedented dynamics of the development of the subject matter of research, but rather by the fundamental role that communication plays in the 2000s. The current telecommunication technologies and, first of all, the global IT network Internet and the related cyberspace are some of the most important factors in the development of the world community, as it has a decisive impact on the public, political, economic, and socio-cultural spheres. There is therefore a clear need for a comprehensive philosophical understanding of the consequences

of global computerization and today's society, which makes it possible to synthesize the varied data of applied sciences. Since virtual communication is a relatively new cultural phenomenon, no comprehensible, distinct, and effective system of moral regulation has yet emerged in this area. Furthermore, virtual communication has such characteristics that it can be regarded as the embodiment of a libertarian, even anarchist, or anarchist ideal so that third parties are allowed to express themselves to control those who do so on the part of the establishment. Virtual communication offers people unprecedented opportunities for fulfilling personal freedom, challenging its moral nature, which gives rise to many ethical problems of both a theoretical and applied nature that generally require an adequate solution. The relevance of the problem is therefore determined, on the one hand, by the scientific and theoretical need for a holistic and systematic study of the ethical aspects of virtual

9

communication, and, on the other hand, by the practical social need to bridge a regulatory gap in this area. Research is mainly focused on the individuals’ activity and behaviors during computer mediated communication, but more so directed by the web in its essence. That is, the set of rules and principles governing this communication, i.e. the morality and/or immorality of cyberspace. There is a need for moral and philosophical reflection and an objective assessment of the virtual communication processes and their impact on society. To achieve this goal, the following tasks need to be addressed: -to characterize the specificities of virtual communication; - to consider the key ideas of the “library” available; - to analyze the degree of influence of these ideas on the creation of an ethos specific to cyberspace;

- to determine the status of morality in the system of normative regulators of virtual communication; - to identify the fundamental moral principles that regulate behavior in this sphere; - to describe and analyze the rules that are or should be at the basis of codes of ethics in cyberspace; - to identify the specificities of netiquette (the civilized behavior we should have when communicating ) and determine what role citizens themselves should play in their desirable self-regulation on the Internet; - to consider and analyze the main ethical and philosophical dilemmas generated by the emergence of the new information and communication technologies. Hence de-anarchisation is subject to the solution of these problems. The ethics of virtual communication or as is commonly called - the ethics of the cybernetic network, as a field of practical philosophy is just beginning to emerge.

Although a fairly large number of publications on the problems of human interaction with global IT networks have appeared in recent years, especially in English speaking countries, only a small amount of these works is dedicated to the ethical aspects of such interaction, since in those countries the efforts are unscrupulously underpinned by profit and far outweigh the production of essays devoted to human and moral values. The ethics of virtual communication is very often regarded as a continuation and development of the academic sphere of computer ethics, which is a field of applied ethics that studies the moral problems created by information technologies.

11

This approach seems entirely legitimate if we pay primary attention to the indirect nature of virtual interaction. At the same time, several researchers believe that all computer-mediated actions, without exception, have an informative nature. This means, in one way or another, having a significant impact on the infosphere, the consequences of which are only subject to moral evaluation. As a result, information becomes a completely independent subject of moral relations, and hence the ethics of computers and virtual communication acquire a status that is philosophically more significant than the ethics of information tout court, which has been developed until “recently”. According to another viewpoint, the ethics of virtual communication should be considered one of the varieties of professional ethics, significantly closer to that of librarians and communicators (media codes of ethics, journalists' charters, etc.). This approach is based on the analysis of the most common and socially relevant types of activities by Internet users, and hence, although with some reservations, they become representatives of different professional groups that have not only the right to exist but also to put themselves on an equal footing with similar existing national or international institutions. There are two main strategies to justify web ethics: the Anglophone (mainly in the United States of America) and the German-speaking one.

The Anglophone authors focus on the cultural and axiological aspects of web ethics, considering the moral problems of virtual communication within the framework of normative ethics and, as a rule, based on the application of classical ethical concepts to them (primarily deontology, utilitarianism, economism, business practices). The German-speaking authors, instead, focus their attention on the communication aspects of web ethics and a more theoretically significant but too abstract issue whether ethics, in general, and web ethics, in particular, can be substantiated - and conduct research primarily based on discourse ethics. The methodological basis of the study is a synthetic interdisciplinary approach, as well as a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the phenomenon being studied.

The proposed methodology combines the analysis of value, structural-functional and historical-genetic criteria and judgments with the main ideas of the anthropological and hermeneutic schools, as well as with the achievements of scientific disciplines such as political science, sociology, cultural studies, psychology, and communication theory.

13

The novelty of these results consists: - in identifying the specificities of the ethical discipline of virtual communication; - in the thematization and systematization of the main ethical regulators of virtual communication; - in the theoretical validity of the moral norms, rules, and principles governing behaviors in this field. The theoretical significance of this lies in the systematic presentation of the virtual communication processes from an ethical viewpoint, which not only makes it possible to explore the practice of cyberspace but also serves as a prerequisite for the creation of effective mechanisms to ensure the implementation of common morals with relevant norms, rules, and principles.

The results obtained can be used for further research on the problem of the influence of virtual communication on society and personality within the framework of theoretical disciplines such as ethics, pedagogy, sociology, and psychology. The methodology for analyzing communication processes can find wide application in modern mass communication theory and practice. In most cases, virtual communication is characterized by distinctive features such as mediation, interactivity, distance, and global intercultural nature. The participants’ anonymity provides ample opportunities for the construction of personal identity as there is no status hierarchy, while their extra-institutionality, the nondevelopment and uncertainty of social rules (including legal and moral ones), can lead to marginalization and mockery of communication processes, which are sectarianly concentrated in a restricted group of Internet users who gradually lose contact with earthly reality.

The aforementioned characteristics, together with the imperfection of modern IT regulations, considerably limit the possibilities of organizational and legal regulation of this area, which enables participants in virtual communication to consider it “the last territory of freedom”, a new res nullius, in which to take refuge from State control.

Consequently, the above-mentioned voluntary moral self-regulation, which is largely spontaneous and performs compensatory functions, begins to play a priority role in the normative regulation of virtual communication. Or rather, lawmakers follow their example to produce rules. Or the lawmakers themselves act as Internet users so that they can better understand the environment by entering it with anonymous roles.

There are many interesting potential breakthroughs on the horizon, including computational technology that mimics the human brain. Researchers have already developed an electronic chip that uses artificial intelligence to mimic the way the human brain processes visual information they call a brain on a chip. The medical community will be able to implant devices such as bionic eyes and bionic kidneys or artificially grown and regenerated human organs by 2032.

CYBERSECURITY

What should we expect in the coming decade as we begin 2022? While there are many potential paradigms changing technological influences that will impact the future, let us explore three specific categories of future transformation: cognitive computing, health and medicine, and autonomous everything.

CHUCK BROOKS FORBES CONTRIBUTOR 25

Rather than ponder the immediate future, I want to explore what may beckon in the ecosystem of disruptive technologies a decade from now. We are in the initial stages of an era of rapid and technological change that will witness the regeneration of body parts, new cures for diseases, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, human/computer interface, autonomous vehicles, advanced robotics, flying cars, quantum computing, and connected smart cities. Exciting times may be ahead. By 2032, it will be logical to assume that the world will be amid a digital and physical transformation beyond our expectations. It is no exaggeration to say we are on the cusp of scientific and technological advancements that will change how we live and interact. The world's first bionic eye, a retinal implant that helps restore vision to patients blinded by a degenerative eye disease, was recently approved by the FDA and will soon be on the market. Along with computing comes artificial intelligence. Human/computer interfaces will extend our human brain capacities, memories, and capabilities. At a conference on how the world will look in 2045,

Google futurist Ray Kurzweil has stated that humankind will "expand the scope of our intelligence a billion-fold" and that the power of computing doubles, on average, every two years. Please see: Google’s chief engineer: People will soon upload their entire brains to computers RT USA News By 2032 expect to have computers capable of performing more than a quadrillion computations per second. We will also rely on the automation of knowledge work by intelligent computing software systems. Bolstering our future computing will be artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI & ML) tools that will enhance cognitive performance is very vertical imagined. Artificial Intelligence could be its own category but would turn this article into a treatise. I like this quote by Microsoft’s UK’s chief envisioning officer Dave Choplin who appropriately claimed that AI is “the most important technology that anybody on the planet is working on today.” Coplin: AI is the most important technology that anybody on the planet is working on today – MSPoweruser

QUANTUM COMPUTING

We are starting to evolve beyond classical computing into a new data era called quantum computing. It is envisioned that quantum computing will accelerate us into the future by impacting the landscape of artificial intelligence and data analytics. The quantum computing power and speed will help us solve some of the biggest and most complex challenges we face as humans.

ROBOTS TO THE RESCUE Robots will have applications for manufacturing, construction, medicine, security, and for exploration of terrain, oceans, and space. They will also have applications as personal assistants, and be used to help rescue in fires, hurricanes, and other natural disasters. They will most certainly play a significant role in manufacturing and a variety of industries by 2032.

“Rapidly developing breakthroughs in technologies involving machine intelligence, connectivity, and control will enable expanded robot capabilities and scope while simplifying human-to-robot interactions. Among the most promising innovations, artificial intelligence will allow robots to handle unsupervised, unexpected situations; swarm intelligence will increase the flexibility of mobile robots to share and alter tasks on location; and imaging systems will enhance autonomous inspections, analysis, and movements.” Understanding The Robotics Industry Outlook | BCG Robots will have a strong capacity to evolve closer to that of human performance. A big breakthrough will be in the sensory capacity of robots. In our current state they can learn via AI & ML, and now they are starting to be able to also sense touch. Those capabilities will vastly grow by 2032. MIT’s New Artificial Intelligence Algorithm Designs Soft Robots That Sense

XENOBOTS? Recently, a research team of roboticists and scientists published their recipe for making a new lifeform called xenobots from stem cells. One of the researchers described the creation as "neither a traditional robot nor a known species of animal," but a "new class of artifact: a living, programmable organism. “Despite being described as "programmable living robots," they are actually completely organic and made of living tissue. The term "robot" has been used because xenobots can be configured into different forms and shapes, and "programmed" to target certain objects—which they then unwittingly seek.” Please see: Not bot, not beast: Scientists create first ever living, programmable organism (phys.org)

Clearly our technological tools will greatly advance by 2032. It is evident that science and technology will continue to pave our future at even a faster rate. How we harness for good should be our focus. As we celebrate New Year’s 2022 imagine the potential of better technological tools to come.

As we are entering the 4th Industrial Revolution known as the digital transformation era, many voices started calling on the necessity of preparing for the 5th Industrial Revolution based on space economy, space medicine, outer space mining and space zero gravity assorted industries…etc. Architecture was historically known as the container of human activities. It expands with the presence of mankind into new environments and reflects his aspirations.

Space Architecture is the natural transcendence of our profession as we are leaving earth to explore new opportunities beyond our planet. Space architect’s work is about the theory and practice of planning and building habitats that can support human life in space. The walls, floors and ceilings of interior spaces witnessed the moments of joy and happiness as well as moments of misery that changed human history from signing of the United States Declaration of Independence at the Pennsylvania State House, to the first I-Phone sold in Apple stores, history is written inside interior spaces.

This Space Architecture mission statement was founded at the 2002 World Space Congress in Houston by individuals from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA's) Technical Aerospace Architecture Subcommittee. Space Architect basically should be knowledgeable of a set of interweaved fields of designing (particularly aeronautic engineering), in addition to an assortment of disciplines like physiology, brain science, social science, and so forth.

Like architectural design on earth, attempts should be made to look past part components and frameworks and gain an expansive comprehension of the issues that impact plan achievement. Space design and architecture acquires many types of specialty engineering to ensure human beings can live and work in space safely. Space architecture is a kind of architecture addressing extreme environments that could serve mankind on earth as well. Many common design approaches are founded between outer space architecture and earth architecture including “micro housing, self-sufficient sustainable housing, vehicle design, furniture design, and more.”

LUNAR OASIS

Space Architecture is divided into orbital and planetary architecture. Orbital space architecture is about designing concepts for orbital space stations and whereas planetary space architecture is about designing on rock based, solid surface celestial bodies like Lunar and Martian surface. I believe that the beginnings are always similar. As we are taking our first steps on colonizing new planets we have faced a set of challenges. One of them was the high expenses of transporting construction materials to new habitats.

In addition to working in an extreme environment that we have never faced before. There is a similar pattern here with our ancestors thousands of years ago when they tried building their first settlements here on earth. One sustainable architectural principle that our ancestors followed and we still do till today. Use the local materials found in your building context. Now known as ISRU (In situ resource utilization), it is the most feasible way and may be the only way to build our first permanent settlements known as third class space architecture. That was the concept behind Project Oasis. Form meaning is as important as form reasoning. While engineers prefer the circular and rounded shaped, filleted spaces to resist the internal pressure of pressurized habitats.

It also carries values that can change people to better people, make better spaces and buildings that can motivate people. The use of the circular geometry creates a silent language between the occupant and the architect, the circle implies unity, commitment, love and community. It represents life and its never ending cycle. It melts the cultural indifferences and increases the tolerance. Form meaning is the intangible design parameter that communicates with our psychology and mental well-being. It gives meanings to things. It provides explanation to our visually perceived images. It maintains balance between our physical state and psychological well-being. This project is a new approach in (HUMAN CENTERED DESIGN). It is rather called (COMMUNITY CENTERED DESIGN). Considering the society as part of the design team and addressing the social imperative.

The core of all problems is that our bodies are not engineered to live in outer space.

51

It is a 3rd phase colonization prototype and 3rd class space architecture. Not only for near future mission requirement, but also to leave Mankind legacy for future generations. Just as our ancestors did to us. Again “THE BEGININGS ARE ALWAYS SIMILAR”.

As we stepped our first steps in constructing communities before buildings, we found shelters in caves then searched for water sources to start building settlements.

Same principles apply, searching for lunar caves, water resources, it will be known as extra-terrestrial vernacularism. Rethinking vernacularism in space domain, offering passive low cost working solutions in response to design requirements. Each colony is designed to host the number of minimum viable population (150-200) individuals. This group can reverse any extinction level event and start a new civilization. Organic curvilinear formation evokes and stimulates creativity, motivation, intuition and tranquility. In general, it is about turning the living experience in space from a frightening experience into a pleasurable one. The design should not be a machine to live in but rather a living organism that lives and interacts with its residents.

The colony is divided into 8 isolated sectors. Each sector with independent engineering systems. To mitigate any existential probable risks like viral pandemics or contagious microbial life forms. Architecture goes beyond engineering. It is about human values, compassion, respect, expression and integrity of form.

We have witnessed what real Cyberwar looks like. The Cyberwar in The Ukraine is causing chaos and devastation without a single shot being fired. It will ultimately cost lives. As Reuters wrote on January 14, 2022: “No lights, no heat, no money, that’s life in the Ukraine right now”. One cannot even begin to imagine the strains and stresses being experienced by the people of the Ukraine. I urge you to stop and think about that for just a moment... Intrusions by hackers were, in the main, confined to little more than digital theft. Security oversight at a small bank here, or Insurance company there, and the effect would be more a nuisance rather than devastating. None the less, it continually erodes our global economy and indeed our democracy no matter which way it is viewed. Last year CNA Insurance paid a $40 million ransom and confirmed to the world, apologizing for the disruption to customers on a Not Secure homepage… Talk about an own goal. CNA are still maintaining suboptimal security a year later, possibly preparing themselves for the next attack?

59

However, things are now heating up, and how. The awful sequence of events in The Ukraine must serve as a stark warning that Cybercrime is transitioning and fast becoming all out Cyberwar. Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, and potentially many others may simply stop postulating and shaking their sabre and simply start to take over C2 which has the ability to cause genocide on a global basis. Cyberwar is all encompassing and debilitating to such an extent, it can, and will bring entire countries down. Cyberwar is not confined to a battlefield or the taking of a bridge, it can, and will shut down the entire Critical National Infrastructure of a County, a State, Region, or even a Country. Arrogance, security incompetence and gross negligence at Government level is allowing, even facilitating digital intrusions and infiltration to our enemies and perpetrators. All the while our governments remain in denial suggesting we do not have an issue. Their attitude is neither cavalier or reckless, it is simply mind numbingly stupid…

There is a far better way, but they need to stop exploiting and start listening.

61

I am delighted to write about Cyber Theory. Our research provides insights into how this Cyberwar has played out, so far. It evidences the ease of taking Command and Control by the adversaries by exploiting Insecure, and Not Secure government websites, dozens of them... Unfortunately, the exact same methods of digital intrusion are being played out place globally. All too often, instead of companies 'closing the gaping security gaps' they 'Close Rank’. Band Aid plasters are used to cover their woeful control of basic security oversights and negligence hoping nobody noticed, and worse, hoping they have not already been exploited... What our further research has discovered, is that not only were 100 Ukraine government websites easily exploitable, and indeed, 70 were, but so are the Technology company under the interrogation lamp; Kitsoft who play a key role in the Ukraine government’s technology. Unbelievably, so are the Ukraine Cyber Security Centre also guilty of maintaining Insecure, exposed, vulnerable and exploitable websites...

Add misconfigurations by Ukraine's government DNS/CDN provider, Microsoft, and you have an unbelievably, totally Insecure eco system with not one single element as being secure. This Cyberwar has far from finished, and Ukraine's technology, emails, entire network is, we would suggest, heavily compromised. It will however, be a tough one when the legal guys finally try to apportion culpability and responsibility as all parties clearly have limited, to no basic security, security capability and all are guilty of being negligent. This event, apart from the likes of Stuxnet, is being considered as the first full blown Cyberwar. Sadly, we witness the same lack of basic security, controls and management daily. Such positions are used to gain initial ACCESS, and then further exploited to launch cyber and ransomware attacks. You would have to have your head buried deeply in the sand not to commence major initiatives to audit your networks where they connect to the Internet, your domains, subdomains, servers, DNS and CDN's. It does highlight a lack of control and management of security basics at best.

63

We assume that organizations do not have personal interests in adding the company's name to the ever growing list of 'victims' of 'sophisticated' attacks. However, in reality, suffer attacks because the job is simply not being done properly, as our associates in the Ukraine have clearly evidenced....

There is a far better way...

AI is no more immune to end-user stupidity than any other type of software. With the benefit of both hindsight and strategic foresight, we can choose a path of reinvention. It’s a beautiful day in technology utopia - or is it? AI has demonstrated its ability to surpass humanlevel intelligence in a broad array of areas. AI ranges from economics, law, and philosophy to computer security, formal methods as well as various branches of AI itself. AI has seen exponential growth and diffusion as it is used across most industries, it solves business and transportation problems, detects fraud, supports fraud, it can also predict the emotional state and behavior of the person calling to help companies anticipate desirable solutions. While AI research is progressing steadily and its impact on society is increasingly important, there are consequences that become more severe as the sophistication of AI systems rises. The concern is that ultra-smart AI will take our place on the evolutionary ladder and subjugate us or worse obliterate us. Are we in danger of building a world that we don’t want to live in?

Generally defined Artificial Intelligence represents the third era of computing, the ability for a machine to perform cognitive functions such as perception, learning, reasoning, problemsolving, contextual understanding, predictions, and exercising creativity, as well as or better than humans. It is important to realize that machines, computers, artificial intelligence, anything designed by humans will never be perfect. Mistakes will be made, poor recommendations will occur, bad things will happen. AI will never be perfect. While artificial intelligence has been touted as a panacea, we all know the pendulum swings both ways. AI is not the domain of those working for good and technology advancement but malicious actors are now utilizing it as a force multiplier. Whatever harm conventional malware can do Artificial Intelligence can help malware do it better!

71

34

34

Two major areas of concern arise: the technical problem of direct control of AI, ensuring the AI system does what we want it to do and the governance problem of social control to assure advanced AI systems are consistent with society’s objectives. One of the most exciting aspects of AI is Artificial Emotional Intelligence, is its potential to adhere to human values not by programming AI “but by teaching it”. AI can measure biomarkers that suggest a person’s emotional state. A leader in robotics Hansen Technologies is teaching machines unconditional love, active listening, and empathy. Said research epitomizes that while we live in a world dominated by partisan politics, and different principles, humans have a lot in common and AI can capture these similarities. AI is a broad field. With Machine Learning computers can learn without being explicitly programmed.

Through the utilization of algorithms, they extract patterns from databases and utilize those patterns to predict and make real-time decisions automatically and in specific instances without human intervention. Before AI, Mankind has always made predictions we all want to stimulate actions that defy the odds; wars have been initiated based on predictions. Fast forward, today there are likely dozens of AIgenerated algorithms making predictions about you: for instance, the algorithm that predicted you would read this article if you would be exposed to it. No one got your permission, no government agency is supervising, no one informed you that such an AI-generated prediction had been made. Machine Learning encompasses supervised learning; unsupervised learning or reinforcement learning.

75

Deep Learning is a type of machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) that imitates the way humans gain certain types of knowledge. … these systems are trained to learn on their own, sorting through unstructured data. While traditional machine learning algorithms are linear, deep learning algorithms are stacked in a hierarchy of increasing complexity and abstraction. Breaking it down further we have Weak (narrow) AI which makes decisions within narrow parameters, similar or better than humans. If you think AI decisions are only utilized in the confines of Academia and Research Labs - think again. We all utilize them every day, so much in fact that most of us take them for granted and don’t even realize it, such as the anti-lock brakes in your car, spam filters and the time-saving autocomplete functions in your email. The clarification standard between weak and strong AI is that strong AI is perceived as a form of artificial intelligence in which machines can develop human intelligence and consciousness similar to humans. It refers to machines or programs with a mind of their own and which can think and accomplish complex tasks on their own without any human interference.

Major events over the past few years have thrown into sharp relief the dangers of artificial intelligence. As Elizabeth Barrett Browning stated, “How do I love thee, let me count the ways”. We are filled with love, admiration, or astonishment at AI technology, but as previously mentioned, AI can, has, and will behave badly. Researchers are writing more papers that focus directly on the ethics of AI, with submissions in this area more than doubling from 2015 to 2020. In a reality check, we must acknowledge the truth when all the fog and hype clears artificial intelligence software is still software. AI is premised on two factors: A core Algorithm written by humans, and training data developed by humans that inform how those algorithms modify themselves to improve or adapt their Performance. Post-deployment AI encounters ‘real world’ data which can be implemented to inform and advance the AI's performance. Therefore, various versions of the same pre-release AI can and will radically differ when they adapt to the different users.

77

SURPRISE, SURPRISE, A "BADASS" ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SOLUTION ENTERS THE MAINSTREAM; THIS CORRUPTION CAN HAPPEN PRE-OR POST-RELEASE ON PURPOSE OR BY MISTAKE..

Based on the fact that AI evolved software can re-write itself over time, acquiring new functions or new objectives, the AI system can evolve harmful behaviors on its own! AI models and automated systems reproduce all of the existing biases and inequalities of the real world. We are all aware or should be aware, that the data we create every day is mined by algorithms and used to create a profile of you, to predict your behavior, determine your mortgage rates, to track you.

The data is often sold to third parties without your knowledge. As AI applications grow exponentially, the negative effects of bias will be more far-reaching. The South China Morning Post reported that Chinese scientists have developed an AI prosecutor that can identify eight common crimes such as fraud, gambling, dangerous driving, and ‘picking quarrels. AI will do exactly what it is told to do. Tell it to win at Chess and it will do so every single time. Tell it to cheat and it will cheat. Researchers at Stanford University and Google discovered that an AI, which was designed to turn satellite images into usable maps, was withholding certain data. The system learned to hide information about the original image inside of the image it generated. AI can manipulate search systems for competitive advantage to prioritize results that are more profitable for certain people or companies.

79

AI systems can generate “deepfakes” or synthetic images of human faces, then superimpose those faces onto the faces of other people in photographs or movies for malicious use. AI Nationalism. Governments are instituting new restrictions on mergers and acquisitions and investment activity to ensure that AI developed by companies does not aid foreign adversaries. In 2020, Germany passed a law to allow the government to review or block investments or takeovers of robotics, AI, and semiconductor companies by non-EU–based firms. Algorithmic Warfigting. Future wars will be fought in code, using data and algorithms as powerful weapons. The current global order is being shaped by artificial intelligence, and the same countries leading the world in AI research—the U.S., China, Israel, France, Russia, the U.K., and South Korea—are also developing weapons systems that include at least some autonomous functionality.

Future Today Institute analysis shows that the future of warfare encompasses more than traditional weapons. Using AI techniques, a military can “win” by destabilizing an economy rather than demolishing countrysides and city centers. From that perspective, China’s unified march to advance AI puts the emerging superpower dangerously far ahead of the West. Many stakeholders appear to be double-dealing in the digital age, advocating for responsible behavior publicly, while at the same time developing exploits and backdoors for offensive operations through their intelligence services or even weakening security standards worldwide. The Fourth Industrial Revolution blurs the boundaries between physical, digital, and biological worlds, fusing advances in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT), quantum computing, and other technologies. Technological convergence, in general, refers to the trend or phenomenon where two or more independent technologies integrate and form a new outcome.

EDWARD TELLER SAID, “IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE MADE SOMETHING FOOLPROOF, THE FOOL IS ALWAYS BIGGER THAN THE PROOF.”

Working in technology we all know that despite best efforts to make a system fail-safe, there is always a chance that mistakes, bad actors, malicious ends, human factors will create unexpected decision pathways that undermine the result. There is always a dark side to technology. AI will affect a transformation of human society itself.

ARE YOU A LEADER?

Are you a leader? Are you leading?

89

Two similar questions people often answer differently. The truth is these are the same question. You are not a leader unless you are leading. You might be a supervisor, a director, an esteemed politician, executive or boss, but that doesn’t mean you are a leader. Sorry; you can’t kid yourself on this one. Leadership is binary – you’re either leading or you’re not. It’s that simple. So then, what is leading? How do you define leadership? The exercise of power in and of itself is not leading. Leadership is something more; something special. The dictionary says – leading – is to be out front, first, preceding; and to be a leader is to guide others, to show them the way.

Leading is not directing, coercing, forcing, bullying, intimidating, extorting, commanding, compelling, imploring or a myriad of other applications of power. No. To lead is to show the way; to guide other people to a new, and I would say, a better place. You must be in the trenches. You must be out front. You must set the example. There is no other way. The most common and widely accepted definition of leadership is to influence others to get something done. Influence is not enough. You can get tasks done and influence people, for better or for worse, by exercising power. You just won’t be leading. In times of trouble, when we are heading individually or collectively in the wrong direction leadership is lacking. It’s not that we don’t have politicians and business executives, social elites and adored celebrities.

91

The problem is no one is leading. No one is capturing people’s attention and inspiring them to let their God-given greatness shine. That’s what leadership is about. Leadership is fundamentally about inspiring people to act: to do and experience to ultimately become better versions of themselves. Leadership is about inspiring growth; inspiring people to live up to their potential.

People lead by living up to their potential. You lead by living up to yours. Leading and leadership are more about who you are and who you have become than it is about tactics, techniques and procedures. To lead – to lead well and lead effectively – become the best version of you. This is first and foremost a personal challenge. Are you up to the challenge?

93

Are you ready, willing and able to do what it takes to transform yourself into the example? Leaders set the example and live the standard. What you say and what you do must be connected; must be congruent; in line and consistent. People don’t hear what you say if you do something different.

Do something great and set the example. Be someone great and inspire others. Inspire people to move in a positive direction. Only if and when you do this – inspire people; fill them with the courage, energy and enthusiasm to act, grow and become – are you leading. What you and they are specifically doing, the task you are trying to achieve, doesn’t matter. That you are helping them to grow into their full potential does. Only when you inspire people to move toward their greatness are you leading. So if you want to lead, move toward your greatness first!

"A PERSON WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY BRING TO THE TABLE IS NOT AFRAID TO EAT ALONE".

SOMEWHERE BEYOND RIGHT AND WRONG, THERE IS A BEAUTIFUL SPACE! WHERE YOU CAN FIND ONLY LOVE! LET US ALL MEET THERE.

Most people you are going to encounter in life are: Dream killers, insecure, attention seekers and time-energy wasters. I am sorry! But this is the reality. The world is full of people who don't believe in the beauty of their own dreams, that is why they don't take the required actions to make them a reality. “The quality of your life will always be in direct proportion to the quality of the people in your life, so be very, very selective about the people you surround yourself with.” – Glenn Shepard In order for us to reach our full potential and fulfill our destiny, we have to love what we do and be involved with people who have the same values and standards. Remember to continue social distancing from everyone and everything who waste your time and drain your energy. If you want to be a winner, you must surround yourself with winners. Hard times always reveal true people! They can either inspire you or drain you. Choose them wisely!

Only from the heart you can touch the sky. "If I love you because you love me, that is mere trade, a thing to be bought in the market; it is not love". Loving another human being also means that you want what’s best for them, even if that means they end up with someone else. The purpose of all relationships is to go there to give. To meet each other's needs. To share our completeness and create beautiful memories! Not to possess and control. It is not our job to change people we love to what we think they should be. The miracle of love lies in the love of flaws. Most people need love and acceptance a lot more than they need advice! Give them the freedom to be who they really are! Give them the freedom to love you or leave you. Allow people and circumstances to effortlessly choose you and to choose to be in your life. That way, if they come back to you, you know that they are choosing to be with you because they really want and feel that inside. Only self love, self acceptance and being loved by someone who accepts you for you will truly make you happy in relationships. Love does not claim possession! It gives freedom.

103

"People will do whatever they want regardless of your feelings". Once you realize that you will be free! In a world that is full of people who change or mask who they really are, authentic people who have come alive on the inside are a rare occurrence. Many people doubt and question their values and worth whenever someone ignores them or stopped replaying to them! Don't take it personally! It is not about you! It is about them! How they treat you is simply a direct reflection of how they feel about themselves. "Your value doesn't decrease based on someone's inability to see your worth". Remember! Whenever you are ghosted or mistreated, they are either: - Emotionally unavailable - They just wanted your attention and to fill in their emotional gaps or - It just reflects their priorities. It is so dangerous to play with someone's emotions as you have no idea the damage you are causing! But when they disappear, don't let them reappear because they feel like it. They need to earn you back! Otherwise you aren't interested!
