Listen to this song...

when you’re stressed

Dear Mama - tupac

“Dear Mama is everything to me. I was literally raised by my mom on welfare.Yet I never felt poor nor lacking in anything.”

And the Beat goes onthe whispers

“When you’re in the grips of your addiction, nothing matters to you anymore. But when you get a network and a strong support system beyond you, the beat must go on.”

I wish - r. kelly

“This song sounds sad, but when you reflect on the lyrics, it’s really an ode to better times. It’s a good thing, reflecting on being in a better situation. ”

When you need encouragement

Man in the mirror - michael jackson

“What I love about this song is that it touches your soul.”

Juicy - notorious b.i.g

“To always believe in yourself and know that it gets greater later…As long as you stay focused… Like Juicy.”

I wanna be your man - roger

“Today, with the help ofTRC, I wanna be the man I’m supposed to be.”

Musings by Moses Flores

Ego is not a friend of mine! My ego is not my friend. In fact my pride can be me my enemy. According to my ego, to be humble is to be weak. Then again my ego doesn’t seem to care much for my well-being. So why cater to my ego?

Seems like what is good for my flesh does not always agree with my spirit.Too many times my ego has left me alone and in despair. All because I let my ego and pride captain my ship. So I have decided to declare war on my ego. I am now making humility and kindness my main weapon against my oppressive and dangerous ego. I will no longer let my ego be the anchor of my progression. I will no longer let my ego be my Achilles heel. With this new way of thinking I will reverse my egotistical ways into being a humble man.All because my ego is not a friend of mine.

Why so serious?

Why is it that recovery seems to be so serious? I understand that one should take something like recovery really seriously, but at the same token I feel as if anything that is too serious can seem really boring and no fun. So I say the hell with all the serious no fun and all business approach and make recovery fun. I feel as if anything that is important and vital to your life. Would be a lot easier if it was fun. Now I know some people might read this and say “ this guy is an idiot” but it isn't fair to say that having fun is something joyous and pleasurable. If recovery is your new focus aka job. Isn't there a cliche that says “ if you love your job you’ll never work a day in your life”.i want to remind people that addiction recovery is a life time care plan. So make it fun and exciting because like anything else that is so serious and monotonous will never last for too long, and even if it does it sure sounds like a miserable rest of your life.

Today my life will have purpose. Today I will be sure to be relevant. So that I can have a lifetime of relevance. The more relevant I become than the more significant memories I can create and leave behind. I am like 9 out 10 people. I want to physically live forever. Yet since I know this is an impossible task. I have devised a scheme on how I can live forever. I've decided that if i can live a lifetime of significant relevance. Then the greater chance I have to influence others . Therefore creating enough good memories to last extra lifetimes. All this because memories live longer than people do. So the more influential I can be. Then the more significant my life will become.

Hopefully my lifetime of significance can create a legacy that will make history. If I can make great history than I will potentially live forever through memories. All because memories don't live like people do. Memories can be passed on thru generations if one can live a lifetimee of significant relevance. MOSES FLORES

Eddie’s Weekend

I had a great weekend. On Saturday, I went to Coney island to enjoy myself. I went to boardwalk, and I also went to the gift shop to buy couple of items, like t- shirt, snap back I entered the arcade room to play some games just to have fun. So I walked around the area and saw a baseball park called MCU park. They home this the Brooklyn Cyclones. And I ride around Coney island Creek. Afterwards, I left to go for a bike ride I 2 different like the Brooklyn bridge and manhattan bridge just ride back and forth.
