An ode to my soul

I feel your spirit

You let me see

The beauty that I possess in you I see the wonders of the world. You bring so much tranquility

Thank you soul for giving me

A positive outlook on life I choose you soul, because You are always with me… And never deceive me

Where the body goes, the mind will follow

Ode to my kids

You are what makes me who I am

You are the light of my spirit

I wasn’t born a father

But I am born to be one

You not only remind me that life is good

You remind me of who I am

You reflect off me

Ode to my health

Some of us look for wealth in the wrong places

Sometimes we forget that our greatest wealth is our health

Sometimes I feel pain today that I did feel yesteryear

Maybe because in yesteryear I took for granted that my health was wealth

I love you, health

You make me rich

What’s the sense of having all the materials in the world

Not only physically

But you remind me of who I am and should be

You make me joy

You make me feel pain

You make me feel worry

You make me feel warmth

All in all you make me feel

You guys make me exactly who I am

If you have not health to enjoy your wealth

Took Real Care of myself and give it a shot you will be so amazed at what life has to offer Till Recovery Can make a difference.

Living my best life…

Information from Zora Neale Hurston I was very amazed to find out about her trials and tribulations from Beaufort South Carolina. I stepped back in time and imagined how it was to have been in jail. In an old abandoned fort we used to play inas kids. I learned a lot of information and it broadened my imagination about the history and of islands of many islands. I came from I learned. Some good info to continue studying.

Hey my name is Eddie Collymore and it’s been two months. Some days are good being in a crisis center. Just made 38 day clean. I’m learning more about my sobriety and what helps me stay focused on it - watching tv like sports, doing crossword puzzles, coming here to TRC, doing group activities such as games, computers, and also the greenhouse…Arts, crafts, coloring…..

Today, Thursday.

The day for me starts very slow and sad. I feel very depressed. I don’t know what it is.

My mind is everywhere. But I am still here, and I don’t go anywhere.

This is the right place.

Today is the perfect day.

I’ve been reaching out for help! For all these years. And I am never giving up. (I need help always). I also found out there is help. (Real Help) (True Help) Love - n - Peace. And it’s been here! All the time! And now that I am here, they are here always for me…and everyone who asks for help. Just remember always, Hold on and believe. The Recovery Center is here. - William Edwards

LET’S END COVID

Optimistic, hopeful and confident about the future. When I first stopped using drugs and alcohol there was nothing. Then I started going to seminars - the topics were great. I started visualizing. I could see a future. My confidence started to build. I want to drive again!

Let 2022 be a very prosperous year to the whole world. My philosophy is people who age every year is like a burning candle. As we get old, we lose muscle and gain fat. The human bones become weak as we age. In comparison to a candle, the wick of a candle burns, and it decreases its size.
