The opportunity to pursue her passion while earning scholarship money for college was a win-win situation for the new cover model.

Prom night is more than just a dance. It means you’re graduating – into adulthood. You’re a man. And that means that prom night is time to man up. It’s when you can be a true gentleman, impress your date, and show the world that you’re no longer a high school kid. Here are some tips to help you man up on prom night:

Think ahead. Ask your date two to three months before prom. Be confident. Hold her hands and look into her eyes. Be creative! Try an old-fashioned love note, a nice poem, or include a little gift, like a stuffed animal or other memento. Prom means a lot to girls, and the way you ask shows that her feelings mean a lot to you.

Cover your other bases early. Make dinner reservations ahead of time. Can’t dance? Take a few lessons or even check out a few YouTube videos. You’d be amazed at what your feet can learn with a little shuffling in your bedroom. You don’t have to be “Dancing with the Stars” material; you just have to move with a measure of confidence on the dance floor.

The small things matter. Show up on time. Buy her a corsage. Compliment your date on how stunning she looks. Hold doors open for her. And carry extra pocket cash for any unforeseen expenses. A little chivalry goes a long way.

It’s all about her. When your date is enjoying herself, you’re enjoying yourself. Offer your arm when you’re walking. Ask if she’d like some punch. Offer your coat if the party moves outdoors. Remember: be attentive; insure your good time by ensuring hers.

Keep it positive. Prom is about celebrating a great high school career – and looking forward to what the future has to offer. Talk about the year’s highlights and the great prospects to come. You’d be amazed how what you say can influence how people feel.

End the night right. When walking your date to the door, tell her you had a wonderful time, and that the real highlight of the prom was HER company. She’ll walk away with some great memories – of prom and of you. Because you were more than just a date. You were charming and confident; you manned up.

Each day she dreamt, every minute she imagined, every second the details came together. Finally, it was time to live the dream. Every girl has one significant time in her life when she gets to feel like a queen. Some may feel this day is the wedding day while others feel the day is prom. Although only one girl is chosen to represent the class as queen, prom season allows every girl to feel like a queen, from head to toe. For years, they look forward to senior year and the months of preparation for the final moment they have to shine for the last time – senior prom. Because senior prom is their last impression, they are willing to pay the price. Every girl dreams of the perfect prom dress. From the dress that will make people speechless to the dress that helps radiate her beauty, the prom dress is a girl’s best friend. It takes

hours, maybe even weeks to find the perfect dress. The most exciting time is when she finally says yes to the dress. Once she says yes to the dress, she feels complete. Afraid that someone will sneak a peek at her dress, she does not want to leave the dress in the store because the dress has already become a part of her. Once she is able to finally take the dress home, she hangs the dress in a place where she can stare at it until the big day arrives. She will try on the dress a million times; imagining she is experiencing the magic of this once in a lifetime dance. This is the priceless beauty of prom night. With all the magic of prom night, there is nothing more magical than being the Cinderella of the ball in a dress that is fit for a queen. Prom night is a night that you want to last forever, and once you experience it, the memory will never fade.
