We depart from Sortland and head north towards Andenes.
A local guide will accompany you telling you about the nature, places and history of the islands. And you will, of course, see and learn more about the whales.”
Midnight sun adventure
Discover Arctic takes you to the land of the midnight sun and it´s spectacular wildlife: a true adventure! You will be picked up by a guide
and travel by bus to the islands of Vesterålen. Dinner is an option that can be arranged in some of our local restaurants.
Blåbyen - “The Blue City”
An informative talk and a tour round the town to learn more about the “blue city” concept. You will hear about how the idea was born;
- art for better environment - integrating art info architecture. The tour starts and finishes in the centre of Sortland.
Reindeer, salmon fishing and a taste of traditional, local cuisine all in one day! From Sortland we travel to the nearby sami farm, Inga Sami
Siida. Inside their special lavvo the owners will inform you about the life and history of the sami settlement and culture in Vesterålen.
