2024 25 SEASON
A love note to music.
To music.
To the resonance and rhythms, the harmony and melody, the expression and emotion that make us feel alive. Make us feel human. Make us feel whole.
Every measure, a muse. Every bar, a breakthrough. A place where beauty and vulnerability coexist. Where grit meets grace. Where, from darkness, emerges light.
A stage creaking gently under our footsteps. Lights dimmed. Instruments tuning, blending with the soft, excited murmur of voices across the theatre.
Finally, the collective inhale before our first note.
To play this music. To hear it. To be part of it. It moves something deep within us; it stirs our spirit and feeds our soul. We can’t imagine a life without it. And we want to share it with the world.
We are a creative collective of 37 in a city of 1 million. We are violinists. Bassoonists. Cellists. Percussionists. Leaders. We are curators and connectors, storytellers and supporters, artists and entertainers.
This is the ProMusica 2024-25 Season.
This is our love note to music.

Coda: Post-Concert Conversations
What do we love almost as much as playing music? Talking about music. Join us for an open forum directly following each Southern Theatre performance. Listen to lively conversation as our guest artists, composers, and conductor give insight into the music performed. Coda is FREE to any ticket holder.
“Musicians spontaneously smiling. Orchestra members moving like dancers. Danzmayr seemingly commanding the forces of nature. It’s simply amazing.”
Led by Creative Partner and violinist Vadim Gluzman, you’ll experience both the whimsical and virtuosic sides of Mendelssohn, from his overture to A Midsummer Night’s Dream to his timeless Violin Concerto in E Minor, performed by rising star violinist Sueye Park. Latvian composer Pēteris Vasks’ deeply personal Musica Dolorosa offers a reflective and poignant pause in an otherwise lively program.
Neighborhood Series
We know you can’t always make it to the theatre. Our Neighborhood Series brings the orchestra to you, performing one-hour programs in communities across Columbus, in exquisite venues like Saint Mary Catholic Church and Worthington United Methodist Church.
