Parking

Give Your Children a Great Start!
Sign your children up for Metropolitan Family Services DuPage Head Start Programs. Head Start is available for families in DuPage County with children from birth to age 5. It’s free! Head Start offers programs to help children learn and get ready for school. Enrollment is open now for families who meet income guidelines or have a child with a disability or special needs. Hands & Feet Outreach
St. Paul Lutheran Church is sponsoring an outreach program at 537 S. Ardmore in Villa Park to help those in DuPage County who need item which cannot be purchased by food stamps (soap, toothpaste, diapers, shampoo, toilet paper, laundry detergent, and more). Hands and Feet will be open the first Sunday of the month from 2-4pm. Call 630-832-5580 if you have questions. Bring ID or lease to show address.
Baby Steps
Join other young parents and parentsto-be (22 and under) and share in the experience of one of Teen Parent Connection’s most popular programs. Meet other young families; learn about your baby’s development and how to access resources in your community. Most of all, come to feel great about yourself! Meetings are held in West Chicago, Downers Grove, Addison, Naperville, Villa Park, and Roselle. If interested call: Courtney Simek at 630790-8433 ext. 307.

If you are facing an emergency, or need help in understanding the community assistance that might be available to you or your household, meet with a representative from Loaves & Fishes while you are at the pantry. •
Illinois Supplemental Nutrition Assistance program (SNAP)
Submit your application online for additional food for your family. Benefits are provided on the Link Card, an electronic card that can be used at most grocery stores.
• Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) This assistance program helps eligible households pay winter gas or electric bills. •
Medical Care (Access DuPage) Access DuPage provides medical care to DuPage residents with no health insurance. Make an appointment to fill out an application at the reception desk.

Featured Community Resource 360 Youth Services provides life-changing services to youth through prevention education, counseling and shelter. Prevention Programs
The Power of Choice is a proven drug and alcohol abuse prevention campaign for students in school districts 203 and 204 and their parents. The Snowball program features retreat weekends. It is a fun and engaging youth leadership development and substance abuse prevention program that provides a safe and respectful environment for high school students to learn and grow.
Counseling
Counseling is available for individuals, families, and couples. Through therapy, mentoring, and group education trained counselors provide support for a wide range of circumstances including depression, anxiety, grief, family conflict, life transitions and parenting. Some insurance accepted. Various payment options and scholarship money is available.
Housing Programs
The Transitional Housing programs in Kane and DuPage counties service homeless young adults (ages 18-21) struggling with maintaining independence and who currently have no place to reside. The apartments in both locations offer case management seven days per week.. The Cornerstone Group Home for Boys in Naperville services adolescent boys (ages 13-17) who have emotional, substance abuse, and/or family problems. The group home is the only shortterm residence for boys in DuPage County. For more information or to arrange a meeting call 630-961-2992.
