RAKHI TIME : AUSPICIOUS TIME FOR RAKSHA BANDHAN 2017
With Rakhi around the corner, everyone is asking which is the auspicious time for Rakhsha Bandhan this year (2017). This year Raksha bandhan will be celebrated on 7th August. Breaking News The auspicious time to tie Rakhiis between 11.08am to 01.28pm. This means that you have a small window of about 2.5 hours to tie the rakhi and perform other rituals.
TILL 11.00AM ON THE RAKHI DAY, THERE WILL BE BHADRA. BHADRA IS CONSIDERED INAUSPICIOUS FOR ALL AUSPICIOUS WORKS, ANY RELIGIOUS RITUALS AND HENCE TYING RAKHI SHOULD BE AVOIDED DURING THIS TIME. THE MYTHOLOGICAL STORY BEHIND THIS IS THAT IT WAS DURING THE BHADRA PERIOD THAT SHROOPKNAKHA HAD TIED THE RAKHI TO RAVANA AND THAT YEAR, RAVANA, ALONG WITH HIS SONS, LOST THE WAR AND WAS KILLED BY LORD RAMA.
