Australian Education a wonderful experience Why choose Australia for education? Australia has an excellent education system, cultural diversity, high living standards, friendly people and it is a safe country when compared to many locations internationally. The Australian Alumni network is very strong in Hong Kong and through out the region, and it is an excellent resource to connect with locally when considering Australia as a destination for education. Take an opportunity to attend regular events, to provide you with an opportunity to discuss the experiences of past graduates who studied in Australia. I would highly recommend Australia as a destination for education, no mater if Primary, Secondary or at University level, and if I can assist anyone to get connected to the right people so you enjoy an Australian educational experience, I would be very happy to do so. There were 526,932 enrolments by full-fee paying international students in Australia on a student visa in 2013. A 2.6% increase on 2012 and compares with 5.9% per year, which is the average annual growth rate for enrolments over the past 10 years. The education options are numerous these days, and many countries are keen to attract foreign full fee paying students to assist their bottom line and diversity, so doing your own research on a geographic location and educational facility is essential. For Australia in 2012-13, China continued to be the top source country for international students with 54,015 student visa grants, followed by India whose nationals were granted 24,808 student visas. Together they represented 30.4 per cent of total student visa grants in 2012-13. Applicants must also meet financial, health insurance, English language proficiency and health and character requirements. Student visas are issued for the entire period of study in Australia. Visas are issued in alignment with the period for which the applicant has Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). Overall, international students enrich Australian communities; deepen international links and also the worlds understanding of Australia as a country to visit, live, work and play. PF:香港推行新學制後是否有令更多學生到外國升學? KC:香港推行新學制後,的確有不少學生及家長選擇到外國升學,熱門國家包括英 國,美國及澳洲。其中尤其以英國居多。香港中學生可以到英國就讀私立中學;16歲或 以上學生除了私立中學外亦可選擇政府學院報讀中六及中七 (A-Level) 或大學基礎班。 英國亦有私立院校提供大學基礎班。DSE成績良好的香港學生更可直接申請英國大學一 年級。

PF:到英國升學的費用如何? KC:到英國私立中學就讀,應預算每年總支出HK$400,000-HK$450,000,其中已包 括學費食宿,零用錢,監護人及機票費。到英國政府學院就讀,應預算每年總支出 HK$150,000-HK$200,000,到英國大學應預算每年總支HK$350,000,已包括學費食 宿,零用錢及機票費。

Commodes in your décor!

he original commode evolved as a functional piece of furniture in late 17th century France and transitioned into a more stylish form with elaborate decoration and standing on cabriole

legs (or short legs) with a flat back that went against the wall during the 18th century.

Commode - This piece of classic furniture was literal showpiece for the splendid techniques and decorative treatments mastered by the ébéniste (cabinet-maker) during the rise of Rococo style. French commodes were status symbols in the home, and very costly to make and is still one of the most popular pieces of furniture today.
