Where to find new land in Brisbane

As the city expands, new land is harder and harder to come by. Many people think that to get a brand-new plot they have to venture miles from the city, and therefore the convenience of public transport, walkable amenities, and employment opportunities — but this is not the case. There are house and land packages popping up throughout Brisbane, and this handy guide will help you find them.

BURPENGARY

Just a little further up the highway than the North Lakes land estates, Burpengary has great train connections and a huge number of new land lots and some acreage for sale.

NORTHLAKES

As the suburb of Northlakes fills out, newsuburbs around it are starting to takeshape. Dakabin, Narangba and Mango Hillall have land estates, acreage estates andtownhouses on the horizon.

ROTHWELL & NEWPORT

There are some large developmentsunderway in the Redcliffe area, blocks righton the water start at over $900,000.

SAMFORD VALLEY

North west of the CBD, Samford Valley hasa relaxed rural vibe and good amenities inSamford Village, which has a real communityfeel. Acreage is still available here so you canhave the best of the city and the country.

BRIDGEMAN DOWNS & ALBANY CREEK

These northern suburbs have both houseand land and townhouse developmentspopping up throughout the area varyinghugely in size, starting from great value 225metre-sqaure lots.

MITCHELTON & EVERTON PARK

The land releases in these inner suburbs less than 10 kilometres from the city tend to have a very limited number of lots available for purchase. If you are looking for a land package close to the city keep your eye on Keperra Quarry which got the re-zoning go ahead back in 2017.

COLLINGWOOD PARK

There is a whole host of land for sale between Brisbane and Ipswich. The surrounding suburbs all have multiple projects, which means you have plenty of choice and competitive pricing in this area.

SPRINGFIELD

This master-planned city has a whole range of new property planned for the area over the next decade or so.

REDLAND BAY & THORNLANDS

If you want to be close to the ocean and the city, the master-planned community planned for Redland Bay could be just what you are after. Alternatively, a little closer to the city, the suburb of Thornlands also has multiple developments to choose from.

RIPLEY & DEEBING HEIGHTS

With lots as small as 260 metres sqaure available, Ripley offers great value for first-home buyers.

LOGAN RESERVE & EAGLEBY

Ideally placed between the Gold Coast and Brisbane with excellent transport links, it makes sense that development is rife throughout the newer suburbs of Loganlea, Logan Reserve and Eagleby.

KINGSHOLME & ORMEAU

Ok, we know. It is not actually in Brisbane. But a lot of commuters are choosing to buy land here and drive or catch the train to the city each day. Acreage and smaller lots available.

HELENSVALE

Also officially on the Gold Coast, rather than in Brisbane, the transport connections around Helensvale have made the riverfront land and new land estates popular with commuters.
