material. Often, climatic factors like wind and rain can take a heavy toll on buildings and builders need to take these into account when choosing material for the façades and designing them. Along with wind damage, heavy rains and flooding often wreak additional havoc. As technology continues to improve, different types of façade systems are available. While the façade helps to define the distinctive architectural aesthetics of the building, it also plays an important role associated with energy performance and the interior function of a building. Leading suppliers of exterior rainscreen facade systems in New York offer unique models of facades from top dealers. Known for its quality, aesthetics and creativity, Argeton is the oldest manufacturer of terracotta rainscreen systems. Offering the visual impact of a timeless façade, coupled with the natural characteristics of clay in a ventilating rainscreen, the Argeton rainscreen system combines the proven durability and natural beauty of clay, with a simple support structure. It is contemporary, maintenance-free and the panels are fully recyclable and confirmed through ISO and EN certified status. Whether for a new building or refurbishment, the Argeton facade system gives a building real warmth and character with its beautifully rich, earthtone colors. Manufactured with 100% natural raw clay (without other chemicals) and fired at high temperatures, terracotta cladding material provides a certain degree of thermal insulation and weather resistance while creating an aesthetically striking façade design.

Argeton tiles are extruded to produce plain or grooved twin-skin tiles and baguettes in a range of natural finishes, which can also be glazed. The color of terracotta tiles are determined by the raw material used – which is clay. Since, the raw material clay does not contain any synthetic dyes; the tiles will retain their original color and will not fade over time when compared with many other external facade materials. Argeton rainscreen tile panels are 30-40mm thick and perforated throughout their length to create a system weight of 50kg/m2. The shape and profile of the tile is natural and intrinsic to its ability to perform as a rainscreen system.

Height modules are available from 150 - 500mm and in module

lengths up to 1500mm dependent upon tile module height. The terracotta rainscreen tiles are restrained by anodized clips - which are either riveted or clamped to aluminum support rails and supported either vertically or horizontally to suit your specific type of construction. In addition, a powder-coated vertical drainage profile is duly positioned between the tiles and rail to manage water ingress and provide impact resistance to the system. Other top benefits of terracotta façade tile material include:– •

Façade tile material is durable and resistant to ultraviolet radiation

Recyclable, sustainable, and eco-friendly

Weather-resistant and with low absorption properties

Façade is fast and easy to install without any hassle

Architectural terracotta rainscreen panels come in a variety of styles and standard colors. Some of the common styles include – •

Tampa – Tampa is the classic tile for a simple, clean-cut building appearance. The straight line cornering is a perfect option to complement the look.

Terzo – The Terzo style creates a lively façade look with false joints in the surface at various widths and distances.

Lineo – Lineo is a stylish linear horizontal structure created by 3mm deep grooves.

Danza - For an overlapping panel look, the Danza tile is the perfect choice. The overlap of individual panels creates an attractive play of shadows that reflects light at different angles from the outside of the building.

In addition to the rainscreen functionality, these terracotta panels can be used as sunshade or screen. They can be glazed to reduce maintenance. Glazes in different tones or shades like matte, sheen or high gloss enhances the look. In addition, customers can work jointly with the manufacturer to create unique, custom tile shape, profile and tones that perfectly match their architectural style.
