ROTC1A/B

Grade 9-12, 1 credit, On-Level weighted GPA The program is designed to teach high school students character education, student achievement, wellness, and leadership. The focus of all instruction is on the enhancement of responsible citizenship and leadership. Through the Corps of Cadets, students learn to take and respond to orders, prepare for higher positions of responsibility, develop self-discipline, pride, bearing, self-control, and teamwork. Students may participate in extracurricular activities such as color guard. Several extracurricular competitions and other activities involving all members of the Corps of Cadets are conducted throughout the school year. A student who successfully completes JROTC may receive a substitution for the state PE requirement (1 credit) through participation in two semesters of the JROTC. Students do not incur any military obligation by participating in JROTC courses. Uniforms are provided/fitted at no cost Prerequisite: None
