Carecall Service

Are you worried about living on your own? Do you know someone who is worried about living on their own or you are concerned about? Carecall can offer you peace of mind with a service that is connected to a special Control Centre to provide help to you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

How does Carecall work? You or your telecare device can call for help from anywhere in your home and get straight through to the Control Centre which is manned by trained staff 24 hours a day. Even if you can’t reach the alarm, your alarm button will activate a powerful microphone and transmitter which will allow you to speak to and hear the Control Centre staff from anywhere within your home.

What happens when I call for help? Carecall is an invaluable service for older people and those with disabilities who want to continue living independently in their own homes. What is Carecall? An effective alarm system for people living in their own homes to call for emergency help or to identify potential hazards such as falls, floods or bogus callers.

Am I eligible? The service can be provided to anyone living in the mid Essex area who considers that they would benefit from an alarm.

When you press your alarm or pendant you will be quickly connected to the Control Centre, which will automatically identify you and your address in seconds. You can talk to the controller, and if needed, help can be on its way in minutes. The Control Centre can also contact your relatives, friends, and emergency services to ensure that you get the help and assistance you need.

Is Carecall expensive? No. It costs very little each week and Mobile Co-ordinators can also offer basic advice on benefits that you may be entitled to apply for.

We are an approved provider of a Telecare Service and are accredited by the Telecare Services Association

What do I need to have the system fitted at my home? A BT phone socket and an electrical power point close at hand – simple as that! You can still use your phone as normal as the Carecall system only takes over when you call for help. All the alarm units are regularly checked after they are installed to make sure they are in perfect working order and batteries are replaced when necessary.
