Who is the service for? The Essex Lifestyle Service is working with Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital Trust to provide free lifestyle support to employees. The service is otherwise available to residents of Essex, excluding Southend and Thurrock. Employees who live in Southend or Thurrock will be eligible for a one-to-one appointment with Essex Lifestyle Service, but future support may be delivered by a partner organisation. Will I have to pay for these services? Our services are free but medications issued for stopping smoking are subject to a prescription charge, unless you are eligible for free prescriptions.
Where and when are the sessions? We will be holding on-site one-to-one clinics on Wednesdays at Basildon Hospital. The Essex Lifestyle Service also holds sessions across Essex Monday to Saturday at various times in accessible and safe community venues. Telephone, text and email support are available too. How frequently will I attend? This will depend on your lifestyle needs. We will agree this at your assessment. Is this service suitable for me? If you are ready to make changes to your lifestyle and commit to reaching your goals, then absolutely! If more specialised support is needed we can signpost you onto the relevant service.
