Providence Art Club

National Open Juried Exhibition 2021 On view May 30 – June 18, 2021 Gallery Hours: Sundays – Fridays, 12 – 4pm each day

The Providence Art Club’s National Open Juried Exhibition 2021 is an exhibition of over 80 artworks by talented contemporary artists from across the United States. Each year, the Art Club conducts a competitive open juried exhibition to celebrate the best of contemporary art-making. This year’s exhibition was juried by Dr. Jamie Gabbarelli, a talented curator and art historian currently based at The Art Institute of Chicago. Dr. Gabbarelli selected a diverse array of objects for a show presented both in-person at the Club’s historic Maxwell Mays Gallery. All of the works can be viewed in this catalogue and works selected exclusively for the online component can also be peruse in our online store. This catalogue will remain online indefinitely and the exhibition can be viewed in person through Friday, June 18, 2021. About This Catalogue and The Artworks Represented While some of the artworks in the exhibition are presented unframed on gallery-wrapped canvas, most artworks are framed. Unframed works are listed with only an unframed size, while works that are framed are listed with both a framed size and an artwork size. Artworks are measured height x width, (as well as x depth if three-dimensional). Some works may be matted or otherwise prepared in a way which extends the footprint of the object. For works matted and under glass the “unframed size” represents the size visible to the edge of the mat. Sizes in some cases may not be exact. The photographs in this catalogue were either provided by artists or taken by gallery staff. The Art Club is not responsible for the exact color correctness, accuracy, or photographic representation of the artworks included in this catalogue. We always suggest viewing an artwork in person before purchasing. Gallery staff are happy to provide additional detailed photographs of any object in the show. To Purchase Works from This Show For inquiries about any of the works listed in this catalogue, please reach out to Gallery Manager Michael Rose at michael@providenceartclub.org or via phone at 401-331-1114 x 5 and he will be more than happy to provide additional photographs, schedule a private visit to view artworks, or assist in any way he can. Sales of fine art are tax free in the State of Rhode Island, so the prices listed are the final sale prices. The Art Club accepts all major credit cards, except American Express, and is also able to accept personal checks. Artworks must be paid for in full at the time of purchase. All works are sold as is. All sales are final. As works sell, they will be marked as sold in this catalogue. If a work is not marked “sold”, it is likely still available. Please do not hesitate to contact us with questions.
