What makes it a Rhody Gem?
Custom framing is an art form in and of itself, and Joanne and Joseph Noonan have been helping customers preserve and display their treasured artwork since 1988. Since moving into their current location in the old Carter’s Candy building 10 years ago – a unique Art Deco building dating back to 1932 – the couple has lovingly brought the period details back to life, including the brass globe lamps, a tin ceiling, and the elaborate hardwoods. Joanne expertly guides clients through choosing the best mats and frames to showcase their collections while long-time employee Will Cooley, with his detailed eye, cuts, frames, and finishes each by hand. Have walls to fill but nothing to hang? Check out their extensive inventory of prints, posters, maps, and botanicals, many of them vintage.
