What it is: A full-service store for men’s fashion carrying fine suits, sports jackets, and casual wear, with bespoke pieces and an onsite tailor. Where to find it: Watch for the bright blue veranda as you’re driving along Main Street in East Greenwich, and find a spot in their parking lot. What makes it a Rhody Gem? As one of very few purveyors specializing in men’s fashion, owner Jim Fortier and the Blueprint 5 team take their jobs seriously. Everything from custom Italian suits to casual jeans are hand-selected for their quality, and unique yet sophisticated prints, textures, and patterns give this collection character – far from the standard shirts and pants you would find at a big-box retailer. Personalized down to the thread, master tailor Tony Palma is available for in-store purchases and outside tailoring, too. You won’t find a group more passionate about helping customers find the perfect piece in a space that’s never intimidating. “Sometimes it’s much less about the clothes as it is the experience,” says Fortier. “Guys stop by for a game of pinball, share a joke, or just to say hello. We can be a respite from the daily grind. The fact that we have beautiful clothes is a bonus.”
