Looking to welcome a new furry friend into your home? Adopt, don’t shop! Shelters around South County and the state have dogs and cats ready to find their forever homes. Here are three pets ready to meet you, or reach out to the shelters to learn about even more adoptees.
If you have been thinking of adopting or if you know of an animal in need, please contact Karen directly at animaltalk1920@gmail.com.
SCOOBY
From fetch to swimming, Scooby loves to play! This ball of energy is a twoyear-old German Shepherd mix with a beautiful golden coat, irresistible smile, and expressive ears. His ideal home would have a fenced-in yard so he can run and play, and he’s great with kids. If you’ve been looking for a new best friend who will help keep you active and bring a little joy to your household, Scooby might be the boy for you.

PUMA
This black-velvet beauty is Puma. She’s a sleek four-year-old Domestic Shorthair cat with sparkling golden green eyes and a tiny spot of white on her chest that looks like a star (because that’s what she is!). Puma is looking for an adults-only home where she can bask in a sunny window all day, occasionally waking to play with toys and be showered with treats – her favorite pastimes. Puma is ready to share her relaxed lifestyle with the right human companion.
