With its inspiration from Canada – and of course the widely known fact that Canadian Maple syrup is wonderful natural product – many of its products are something you would find in Canadian / North American Region, many with subtle Maple-flavoured tones to bring out some truly delicious tastes and twists on traditional baked products. The inspiring menu draws from a wide array of influences with the driving force behind the decadent flavours and choices being Andre Smaniotto and Head Chef Chris Bart. Together they achieve a balance of quality, innovation and authenticity. Signature Canadian products include the Hoodoo Tart which is a close cousin of the traditional butter tart in Canada but with a twist of Maple Syrup in a sweet lava-like centre – and yes, they like to give things a unique twist. Included on the menu is an ever-evolving array of savoury and sweet treats. Maple Bakery is proud to say that their special range of donuts have become a firm favourite for young and old alike. Fresh-made each morning using free-range eggs – as are all their products – they’re topped with a delicious variety of flavours including Maple Cinnamon, milk and white chocolate, crushed Oreos, Tim Tams, bacon, pulled pork and more. The flat-shaped Beavertail donut is a real mouthful – and a tribute to Canada’s cutest native. The Nanaimo Bar is a well-protected classic of Canada - and those that know, know. The Nanaimo has created robust debates as the texture and ingredients can vary from the traditional combination – this one has caused a stir! It is based on a 1950s Canadian elementary school recipe supplied by a Canadian that came to Australia many years ago. Betty was quite well known in Canada with her family and friends for being the Nanaimo queen and regularly casts an eye over Maple Bakery product and though there are several methods to making the coveted Nanaimo, it has created a good debate among Canadians visiting.

Some products use gluten free ingredients such as the lemon meringue tart, pecan and macadamia tart, raspberry cheesecake (low carb and keto), housemade marshmallows and much more. They also offer a great range of savoury lunch items such as salmon or haloumi baguettes, egg and bacon or pulled pork donuts, turkey bagels, a variety of homemade pies, spinach ricotta rolls, quiche, frittatas and more. The team is passionate, welcoming and enjoy their time at Maple Bakery as much as their customers do. Since opening their doors six months ago they’ve celebrated Canada Day and Canadian Thanksgiving Day where orders of ‘Poutine’ flew out the doors. Poutine is a Canadian tradition which includes fries loaded with gravy and cheese curd – ‘squeak squeak’. The next event on the horizon is of course the festive season.
