How does SOCKS Proxies Work?

SOCKS is a generic proxy protocol for TCP/IPbased networking applications. The SOCKS Proxies provide a flexible framework for developing secure communications by easily integrating other security technologies.

How do SOCKS Proxies Work? When an application client needs to connect to an application server, the client machine connects to a SOCKS proxy server. The proxy server connects to the application server on behalf of the client, and relays data between the client and the application server. For the application server, the proxy server is the client.

Advantages of SOCKS Proxies ď Ź

ď Ź

Ssl Private Proxy, have a wide range of benefits but the most important is that they provide complete anonymity and protects all your traffic (including DNS-requests). This means that the remote server will only see the SOCKS-Server IP (Internet Protocol) instead of the real IP you got from your Internet Service Provider. Hence, absolute anonymity is evident.
