Neutering cats dramatically reduces the noise, noxious odours and fighting, which occur with unneutered cats. In the long term, neutering is more costeffective than trap-and-remove methods. The registered caregivers are identified by an

The Universal Declaration of Animal Rights, the international treaties and the existing EU directives on animal rights have contributed to the need to establish effective animal protection policies in our society. The continual abandonment of domestic cats together with their reproductive capacity give rise to a free-roaming cat population in urban areas where they cannot easily survive.
The City Council aims to reduce the uncontrolled proliferation of the colonies, reduce community complaints and improve the living conditions of the cats.
The registered cat colonies are protected and controlled by the City Council. All citizens are obliged to treat the cats respectfully without disturbing or feeding them.
The caregivers are volunteers; they follow established procedures and collaborate in the trapping.
Any abuse will be severely punished.
Do not abandon cats
Cat colonies are the most natural and effective rodent controllers This program consists of trapping, neutering and returning the cats to their original colony and also improving the sanitary and health conditions of the area.
This is an ethical and respectful alternative that, with the help of volunteers and non-profit organizations will improve animal protection in our city.
A cat adapted to living indoors will not survive in the street if he is abandoned. He will not stay in the place where you leave him but will run away looking for the home he knows. He will be exposed to multiple risks and hunger.
