Je grew up in Delaware County in a family that put their love for others into action. He raised seeing eye dogs as a 4H project, with his mom’s help. At the age of 16 Je followed in his grandfather’s footsteps by becoming a volunteer firefighter for many years.

High school classes did not hold his attention. Je longed to learn in the real world rather than a classroom. He wanted to start making a hands-on di erence in peoples’ lives and believed that the best way for him to start was to join the Navy. Although both of his parents were teachers, they understood his heart and agreed that he could earn his GED rather than simply continue the traditional route.

After earning his GED, Je enlisted in the Navy and served aboard the USS Jacksonville, a fast attack submarine. When he returned home Je continued serving as a volunteer firefighter and worked a night shift job to be able to pay bills.

Over the years Je met many wonderful people at Staples, but his favorite person was a coworker named Julia. She genuinely cared about her teammates and the customers they served, and she worked hard to provide for herself and her five-year-old son. She was pursuing her dream to become a nurse and that inspired Je to consider going back to school to earn a degree as well.

Je and Julia were married in 2007. They were both full-time college students. Je was working on his bachelor’s degree in Business and Management, and Julia was enrolled in nursing school. In June 2010 the Ferrells bought their first house, and the experience was so positive and rewarding that it planted a seed in Je ’s mind about pursuing real estate as a career in the future.

Having witnessed Je ’s character, leadership, connections with people, and his genuine desire to serve others, one of the coaches of Je ’s son’s baseball team encouraged Je to consider earning his real estate license.

In 1999 Je started working at Kinkos. Soon he was handling corporate clients as the Production Manager. After serving there for three years, fostering relationships with team members and with clients, he was o ered the position of Operations Manager at Staples. By 2012 Je had earned his degree and life seemed to settle into a more comfortable routine. That is, until Staples started downsizing the next year. Shortly after Je and Julia had welcomed their newborn son into their family, Je was informed that he would be receiving a severance package but that he needed to secure other employment.

Having his hard-earned degree actually separated him from other candidates and helped him earn a job at The Princeton University Store the summer of 2013. That fall he started coaching his oldest son’s baseball team. He was a great leader, and did well as the Store’s Director, but the job didn’t feel fulfilling or rewarding. Je was filled with creative ideas for helping team members grow professionally, but there was no outlet for him to utilize his vision.

Je became a licensed REALTOR® March 2017. He continued working at DriveTime for five months, and then he and Julia decided that it was time for him to focus on real estate full-time. He learned a lot during his time at KW Langhorne and saw growth in himself and his business each year.

“I was proud that Julia was living her dream of serving others as a nurse,” recalled Je . “However, because she was caring for COVID patients, I quarantined myself to ensure that I would not inadvertently transfer anything to my clients or the professionals I worked with. I earned several designations so I could serve clients and agents better in the future. Then fellow agent Howard Keller called me, and the two of us decided to team up and combine our strengths. We sold 31 homes during the pandemic!”

“We support each other in everything we do,” smiled Je . “Our team works collaboratively, and we meet on a regular basis to discuss business as well as individual goals and priorities. Agents don’t always, automatically, live a good work-life balance. That’s why it’s important that each member of our team shares their strengths. It’s all about growth, and the sky is the limit!”
