Situated in the heart of Kapitolyo, Pasig, this 2-bedroom condominium is the perfect home for a tech-savvy, young, and professional couple transitioning into married life. With the mix of earth tones, solid colors, and a hint of sheen, the bare place was transformed into a young, sophisticated, and tranquil haven they can call their own. The playful use of different lighting techniques, textures, and accents in solid colors such as the blacks and whites as their canvas balances the overall ambience of the place, thus, creates harmony. L RESIDENCE BRIXTON PLACE, KAPITOLYO, PASIG CONSTRUCTION PHASE (2022)

The client wanted to retain the tiles and granite counter top of the kitchen and T&B so we had to work around the given materials at hand. Situations like this tests our creativity as designers in coming up with plausible varied solutions for a single matter.

Adding accents of blacks, gold, and white in small details such as handlebars and accessories impacted the overlook of the whole space.

As young professionals in the Information Technology industry, the client wanted the second bedroom to be converted into a work area. Since the unit faces the atrium, natural lighting needs to be considered. We opted to use a glass door in the second bedroom for the natural light to pass through into the common areas. A portion of the second bedroom was also intended for the clients’ cats, thus, the wood slats for the cage.

The clients wanted the master bedroom to feel at ease after a day’s hard work and so we made sure to use subtle hints of earth tones and sage green for the ambiance to feel serene and tranquil. In front of the bed is another work area/ vanity for the lady while facing the beautiful view of the city’s night lights.

We were tasked to design a renovation of a 2-storey residential located in Summerfields Residences, Pasig, Since the place is being inhabited, the homeowners opted for a per area renovation. This bedroom is specifically for the two young daughters ages 10 and 8 who love everything pink. We opted to make the whole space look playful and chic at the same time considering the nearing possibility of maturity the age group of these children will have.

Varied shades of champagne and rose pink can be seen throughout the interiors with hints of wood, gold, and a striking wallpaper that accentuates the chicness of the space. Whereas accent pieces that remind of the childlikeness can also be seen to balance out the overall design intent.

The One Residence located in New Manila, Quezon City is a 430-sqm residential home for a family of five. The client wanted a sense of belongingness and a hotel-like feel thus the use of warm tones balanced with solid accents. It was designed with oversized doors, windows, and hallways to mimic a sense of grandeur as seen in the scale of the actual construction phase photos. Highend materials and supplies were used to ensure quality of the clients’ forever home. The house comprises of 4 bedrooms, 4 toilet & baths with walk-in closets, 2 kitchens, 4 basement parking lots, a living area, a dining area, a study area, a loft/library, a basement entertainment room, a powder room, and a koi pond.

The kitchen doors, windows, and cabinets are oversized to bring out a sense of grandeur despite being at home. We ensured that the user of the space can still ergonomically work under these design applications.

The overall interiors of the residential project inhibits the comfort and relaxation you may receive from its homey yet hotel-like feel. Wood on wood complemented most of the main areas and large-cut tiles from Kuysen gave the general flooring, and bathroom wall and floor tiles quite an impression.

Situated in New Manila, Quezon City, this 3-storey residential project is a modern Japanese-inspired home. It includes 5 bedrooms, 1 office, 6 toilets, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen just to name a few. Inspired by a gradient color of the horizon, the ground floor was heavily textured with stone and the other main areas are represented by natural textures. The second floor is filled with wood finishes as if the overall look represents the idea of heaviness to lightness of materiality.

Constructed in the first quarter of 2020, this 2-storey residential project located in Malolos, Bulacan evokes a Scandinavian rustic home. We inhibited the use of open-layout design for the space to breathe as well as to maximize the use of the limited space. The clients, a family of 4, wanted to use wood timber for the ceiling design, and mainly white interiors with Scandinavian accents. Functionality was a priority in this project thus we opted to incorporate a lot of storage spaces. Such storage spaces are enclosed or hidden to avoid cluttering since the clients have 2 young children. MENDOZA RESIDENCE CITY OF MALOLOS, BULACAN DESIGN & 3D VISUALIZATION

From a typical 90s residential home, this project in Sta. Rosa, Laguna was transformed to a modern rustic haven for 2 families. The warm tones of the wooden flooring and furniture accentuate the blank and light walls. The overall ambiance is simple, giving emphasis and focus on the accent pieces in which in return makes each area an interesting painting you can define with the kind of pieces it showcases. RENOVATION - TALAVERA RESIDENCE STA. ROSA, LAGUNA DESIGN & 3D VISUALIZATION

The family houses different kinds of old furniture made of acacia wood that they are willing to reuse and flip into modern furniture pieces. Some would be retained and restored while others would have breathed with new life.

Tuk Tuk Egg is an up and coming premium Thai egg drop sandwich brand brought to you by Cha Tuk Chak. The design and branding was conceptualized by the studio last quarter of 2021 and its first physical street cafe is currently being constructed early this 2022. The intention of the design and branding is to give the customers a light and airy feel just like the feel you get from a sunday morning breakfast. The nude color scheme was derived from the different types of eggs which also could be considered as earth tones. Together with the greeneries, wood textures, and stone-like materiality of the cement, the overall ambiance gives off a sense of oneness with nature.

Rebranding Cha Tuk Chak was a lot of fun for the studio. Coming up with different upbeat designs and landing on a distinctive one that would actually define the brand itself was a fulfilling process for us. From the solid dark colors with wood accents to light shades of wood and yellow accents showcased the true identity of the Thai brand we were aiming for.

Situated along Alabang-Zapote street, this al fresco kiosk gives off a livelier take on the Thai milk tea brand. With an intent to make street cafes instead of the typical kiosk look, with the use of a realistic vertical wall garden, passers-by will definitely go around this milk tea cafe. The said vertical wall is the highlight of the minimal space and the installation of a neon signage with Cha Tuk Chak’s signature “brighten your move” movement accentuates the space. Below you can see the proposed design in comparison with the constructed one

CHA TUK CHAK ALABANG - ZAPOTE LAS PIÑAS CITY DESIGN & 3D VISUALIZATION

With the minimal interior fit-out, we decided to make everything light and airy by means of using white veritcal subway tiles and an accent light wash of concrete wall at the back.

This branch was our first different take on mall kiosks. The studio wanted to create something striking yet welcoming for customers to enjoy their daily milktea drink. The overall look was festive with the use of delightful colors as well as the use of banchetto garland lights. The studio wanted to create a home-like feel that houses nothing but good energy and positivity, thus, the house-like framing.

For this street cafe branch, the studio insisted on creating a different take on exposing a blast of color. The materiality is still visible--the use of concrete, pine wood, accent solid colors, and even faux bricks with a hint of greeneries were able to pull off a sweet haven for the people from Taal where they can enjoy their taste of Thailand. Insta-worthy accent walls can be seen throughout the interiors of the cafe. The neon “brighten your mood” signage will always be a signature piece of the brand. We incorporated a new one, the “sawasdee” wall where people can enjoy their drink under an uplifting user-experience design.

This Thai milk tea brand located in Chinatown was the first branch our studio was given a privilege to rebrand. From the dark tones, with greens, and wood kiosks you can see around malls, the brand decided to rebrand as a “street cafe” as a response to the height of the pandemic back in 2020.

CHA TUK CHAK BINONDO MASANGKAY ST., BINONDO DESIGN & 3D VISUALIZATION

The design intent was to redesign the look of the branding into more of a Thai street cafe you pass by when you visit the busy streets of Thailand. The studio also decided to be creative in terms of functionality and materiality by using sustainable building materials rather than commercialized to have a more authentic take on the brand. With the use of concrete, light wood, accent tiles for backsplash, and subtle hints of solid colors, the studio was able to find its identity.

To accommodate the rise of food deliveries during the pandemic, CTC decide to experiment with the idea of take out stalls. With simplicity and function in mind, the design is a play of pine wood strips and concrete finishes. The combination is complemented by local breeze blocks that break the solidity of the concrete finish.

This boutique hotel situated in Tacloban, Leyte is a mixture of eclecticism and contemporary design. Various patterns and textures are seen throughout the interiors of the hotel. The client wanted the look of the al fresco dining beside the infinity pool to make a statement thus the iconic furniture pieces but at the same time cozy for guests to enjoy their stay.

This modern hotel was one of the projects I handled back in WTA Architecture + Design Studio. The overall design of the interiors creates a modern, tech-savvy, and industrial ambiance for the guests. With the fond use of metal, wood, black and orange accents, this hotel is perfect for the on-the-go business people staying at the beach. Accents through patterns in wall tiles, wallpapers, and rugs give each room a distinctive taste in the liking of each guest.

Located in Shaw Blvd, this 380-sqm bare office floor was converted into an established furniture company’s main office and showroom. As a part of their rebranding, their brand’s color scheme and identity was well put into translation through the rhythm and tempo of the hues and rhythm of the spaces. Led by Arch, Melissa Tan, the existing furniture were put into life through the playfulness and creativity of the design details.

Located in the heart of Ortigas are two furniture, bags, and accessories factories that make unique, creative, and handcrafted designs. The current factories have no showroom for direct clients to visualize and purchase the products and so we converted a space in the upper floor near the office as the factory’s showroom. It houses the brand’s handcrafted products such as handbags, pouches, and purses made of our local indigenous materials. With design 360 degrees as the topmost design consideration, Ms. Tan and I wanted to showcase that everywhere you look, there is no “bad” space. Thus, the use of curved edges and furniture.
