CONTRA 3S PERFORMANCE LIGHTWIND/ FREERIDE

In 2003 a kite was launched to help people maximize their time on the water. The name became synonymous with light wind riding, and has since become a staple in many kiters quivers. The Contra 3 Strut continues this legacy and provides the rider with the ultimate blend of light wind power and agility to maximize time on the water in threshold winds. Its supported 3 strut frame allows to not only drive forward when using a more traditional selection of kiteboards, but it also provides a stable canopy and an increased high end range. CONTRA 1S PERFORMANCE LIGHTWIND/ FREERIDE

The Contra 1 Strut has quickly garnered a reputation as one of the best kites for lightwind freeriding and has proven a versatile addition to any kite quiver. With its single strut design, this light and nimble kite allows the use of much smaller sizes to maximize foil boarding’s true potential. Featherweight control and amazing drift characteristics allow for low angles of attack while on foil, and the rear line tension increases steering impulse even when depowered. All control systems come ready to ride with 22m lines, with the extra 2m lines coming separately. Some people like to ride short lines. They want the feeling of a faster turning kite, or they want to increase the range of a kite. Others like longer lines for more power, or increased hang time.

1. ROPE SLIDER

INCLUDED TO MODULAR BAR

For the pure surfer who likes to have the dynamic mobility of a sliding connection we have the Rope Slider. The Rope Slider can attach itself to any rope sliding harness. You simply clip right onto the rope and you’re ready to ride.

2. FIREBALL

The innovative Fireball connection is back with an all new design. We’ve improved on the original by adding a spinning leash interface which allows you to freely unspin the twists in your flying lines. Fireball is excellent for all forms of surfing, free surfing, and surf freestyle.

3. LOOPS

Our loop connection comes in two sizes. A small size for riders who simply want to stay hooked in. And a large size for freestyle riders who want to unhook. The small Loop has the ability to clip your leash directly to the landing line so that it will deploy immediately upon activating the QR. The Large Loop is designed for riders looking to unhook. The leash attaches to our ‘Pro Connection’ that keeps the security from activating during a dropped handle pass. This connection still allows the full 1X security function when the quick release is activated.

The Overdrive Modular 1X Slider is the control system for the next generation of kiteboarding. Built on the foundation of the Modular system which allows the ultimate versatility and customization, the slider system really comes into it’s own in the surf and hydrofoil disciplines. Designed to work with any harness rope system on the market, the Overdrive 1X Slider is a tailor made product with a secure carabiner style entry, allowing the user to attach without the need of opening and resetting the quick release. The smooth running surface was purpose designed to reduce friction, giving the rider the ultimate feeling of freedom, while also helping keep the longevity of the slider rope.

FOIL OVERVIEW

From the early pioneer days of tow foiling at Jaws, Cabrinha has been involved in each step of the foiling revolution.
