Collection will be subject to fire danger ratings, wet weather and safe access to tracks and forest. Permits for the firewood season, including a map showing the collection locations, are available from DSE offices or authorised retail outlets. The limit for permit holders is 12m3 of firewood per household for the season. Firewood collectors must carry the permit at all times and show it to Parks Victoria or DSE staff on request.
