Snippets Wednesday 1st August 2012 www.corowa.nsw.gov.au YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO BE INVOLVED IN ARTS & CULTURE PLANNING FOR COROWA SHIRE Community members (individuals or groups) with an interest in arts and/or culture are invited to attend a meeting to be held at the Civic Centre on Monday 6th August next at 6pm to form a Corowa Shire Arts & Culture Advisory Committee. The main purpose of the new committee is to assist in the planning and development of arts and cultural activities for people living, working or visiting our Shire. Council is looking for broad representation on the committee to ensure younger and older community members are represented as well as a diverse range of arts and cultural activities. At the meeting the purpose and function of the proposed committee will be further discussed and nominations will be taken from potential members. A 12 member committee is to be formed with members on the Arts and Culture Advisory Committee selected to reflect the geographic diversity of Corowa Shire. It is planned that the committee will meet a maximum of six times per year. Nomination forms will be available on the evening.
