Rodeo stars destined for Yarrawonga

show Aussie cowboy Ben Jones who rides in the Professional Bull Riding (PBR) tour in the USA will be a major attraction at this year's Yarrawonga Rodeo on the Boxing Day holiday, Tuesday, December 28 at the Yarrawonga Showgrounds.

ones, who won his first event on the multi-million dollar tour in August and has earned over $120,000 on the tour this year, will be competing in a $10,000 winner take all match-up against the fearsome and as yet unridden Aussie champion bull Outback from McPhee Rodeo Company. That clash will be just one of many thrilling confrontations between Australia's best cowboys in the Australian Professional Rodeo Association against the bulls from the nation's premier stock contractor McPhees. Rising star of the country rock music circuit Annalea Mitchell, a finalist in the 2007/2008 Telstra Road to Tamworth competition, will also perform songs for the crowd from pop and rock through to country music and 60’s hits. Annalea will also perform the National Anthem. Yarrawonga Rodeo is part of the popular Christmas run of rodeos

he Superheroes are back with a new generation of caped crusaders attempting to launch their careers as they audition for the 'S Factor' (based on X Factor) to see who will be the Number 1 superhero. Proven superstars such as Superman and Batman will be watching the contestants and you will see the likes of Wonderwoman, Catwoman mixing it with the new generation

The Ski Shows are one of the most popular events for families over summer when hundreds get comfortable at the Mulwala Water Ski Club foreshore and enjoy the skill, daring and comedy of the local skiers. Ski Shows will be held in the early evening from around 5pm beginning with the junior development show while the main show starts around 8pm on December 26, 27 and 31 January 2, 7, 8,14, 15, 21, 22 and 23.

The best of extreme sports action on land, water and in the air will be at the Freestyle Sports Expo at the Mulwala Water Ski Club lagoon on Friday evening January 14 and Saturday from noon, January 15.
