Camping is still not available at Barmah National Park and Gunbower National Park. Parks Victoria Flood Manager Daniel McLaughlin said the patience of the public through the Christmas
and New Year period has paid off with the re-opening of more parks, tracks and campsites before the holiday season ends. “Parks Victoria is grateful to the vast majority of the public who respected park closures,” Mr McLaughlin said. “This allowed tracks to dry faster and staff to get on with the job of flood recovery tasks to restore access.” Mr McLaughlin said as the water levels recede, visitors can take advantage of the unique opportunity to see the river system and nearby parks
