Market steady The market for the first quarter of 2011 can best be described as “steady” according to local real estate agents leading into the usually hectic Easter period.

I have always had concerns that when the renovations to the factory draw to an end proper-

The rental market continues to jog along with average to low vacancy rates and sustained rents.” Danielle Kennedy, principal at O’Meara Kennedy First National Real Estate Yarrawonga said the market continues to have slow, but steady gains. “Our turnover of property continues to show advancement, when vendors meet the market,” Ms Kennedy said. “Unrealistic asking prices and interest rate uncertainty has caused some patchy terrain, especially in the top end market which has cooled over the summer months. Sought after pockets and properties priced toward the $300,000 mark have continued to do well. We are also seeing the strength of the Melbourne market filter through to our district with regular sales between $400,000 and $500,000.”
