In accordance with the new Local Government Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework, Council has prepared its Draft 2012 - 2016 Delivery Program, incorporating the Draft 2012/2013 Operational Plan, covering Council’s activities for the four year period 2012/2016. The Delivery Program is intended to set the direction of Council for the next four years. The Draft 2012/2013 Operational Plan and Draft 2012 - 2016 Delivery Program are prepared in accordance with the NSW Local Government Act and include the following: • A list of the Principal Activities to be undertaken by the Council, together with the objectives, strategies and performance measures for each activity; • A rating structure for the year 2012/2013 to be effective from 1 July 2012; • A full listing of all fees and charges to be charged by Council for the 2012/2013 year; • A detailed statement of the proposed Estimates of Income and Expenditure for the 2012/2013 year, together with a statement of the proposed budgets for the years 2013/2014, 2014/2015 and 2015/2016. In total, over 1600 pairs participated in the contest. Yarrawonga couple Tom and Jan Hackett finished in 11th place overall, while Eileen and Dan Connell took 21st place (out of 126) in the section of the competition where both partners are aged 75 or over. Bridge is said to improve memory and brain function, and the fact that there were so many in the 75+ category seems to support this. Scores from the club were sent to the organisers on-line and compared with all of the other results from the other clubs. At the local level, the Hacketts were first with 66.6% followed by Kaye Haebich and Elizabeth Barnes on 59%. The Connells were third (57%) while Jenny Powell and Pamela

Charles finished in fourth place (54.1%). The figures for the money raised have not yet been released, however, the event usually contributes thousands of dollars for the muchneeded research. Well done and thank you to all those who participated and contributed. Last Thursday was the first round of the annual Autumn Pairs. This was won in convincing fashion by Coral and Bill Pheasant (66%). Bunching up a bit farther behind were Elaine Rowe and Jenny Tuttle (59.89%), Jim Weeding and Wendy Adams (59.72%), Tom and Jan Hackett (55.72%) and Marion Bott and Helen Hollingsworth (50.52%).
