The Dangers of Humble Leadership

Ineffective leaders tend to shy away from accountability, not realizing this is deadly to the culture of an organization. Leaders are too afraid of not being perceived as a friend, but their only duty is to empower the culture, and hit targets. Responsible and successful leaders are not only dedicated to accountability, but are also incredibly transparent and candid.

A leader should never shield the people they work with from the truth, prioritizing keeping peace over growth isn’t the path to long term success. It takes a war-time leader - one prepared to face constant obstacles and make strong decisions - to grow an organization exponentially. Most are peace-time leaders, friendly, complacent and focused on just keeping their organization afloat.
