PERU PROUDLY PRESENTS Peru proudly presents her Role of Honor of the young men who were enrolled on or after O.,C.,ber 1, 1941, and who ore now oct.vely serving 1n the Armed Forces of our country. We feel that it is only fitting that we should remember them, for hod it not been for the war, they might still hove been hero They would hove hod cokes at the Hill Store or sot in class woth us But duty come first and they went . We know that wherever they ore or whatever they ore doong, they ore corryong on the spirit of Peru We know that even as they corroed on the principles ond trodotoons of theor Alma Moler, so they woll corry on the trodotoons ond proncoples of the S.rvoce and theor country. Included on thos Roll of Honor ore those members of our faculty who ore on leave of absence and arc servong on some mthtary copoc•ty. Wo feel honored to be oblc to pay such small trobute by wrlt•ng these names here. We roollze that some of the names may hove been omitted where boys loft without notice or foiled to keep on contact with the school. However, the staff has tried to credit only where cred•t was due and begs forg.veness if, tn the tOYtine checking, on error has been mode.

In these times emphasis has been placed upon the currie路 ulum and the classroom but even the leaders of our country hove realized the importance of recreation. And so Peru hos its organizations which not only promote scholarship but aid morale. The "P" Club gave us thrilling games; the Dramatic Club presented ploys; the Pedagog ion kept us informed as well os entertained; and our honorary fraternities were gools of scholarship. To these. our organizations, we give credit for on important port in our school life.

In this section is pictured o ycot of life on our campus--life in o yeor of conflict. It was o year of extremes in which the brightness was olwoys clouded by wot. In our campus life rhere
