5K fundraiser | Oak Ridge Youth Association will host a 5K fundraiser for Second Harvest Food Bank on July 16, starting 8:30 a.m. at Oak Ridge Town Park. All ages are welcome to participate. MST workday | Oak Ridge Mountains-to-Sea Trail Committee will host a workday July 16, 9 a.m. to noon, starting at 8509 Linville Road. Work will include scraping, cascades maintenance and removing “renegade trails” (shortcuts). Standard trail maintenance tools will be provided; bringing loppers or hoes is appreciated.
