Homeowners and home builders have reasons to celebrate following the merger of two of the Triad’s largest independent, family-owned flooring retailers – CSM Flooring and Hardwoods Unlimited.

With this merger, there are now two convenient flooring showrooms in the region full of world-class brands like Shaw, Mohawk, Stanton, Masland, Fabrica, Daltile and Mannington; two warehouses to coordinate deliveries; and more full-time flooring and tile installers.

“Many Northwest Observer readers may remember Carpet Super Mart, now CSM Flooring,” said Mark Watson, owner of CSM Flooring. The company will celebrate 45 years serving the Triad community this May.

“We are very excited to have Arthur Chrismon and his Hardwoods Unlimited team join the CSM Flooring family,” Watson said. “They bring 30-plus years of flooring experience to CSM and are a very down-to-earth group.

“Most notably, Hardwoods is widely respected as the hardwood sand and finish experts,” Watson added.

CSM is conveniently located in the heart of the Greensboro, High Point and Winston-Salem area, and also in Wilmington near Wrightsville Beach. The company has earned the Triad’s “Best in Flooring” honor for three consecutive years.

Hardwoods is located on Burlington Road in Whitsett.

CSM and Hardwoods are the region’s only “Premier Flooring Centers,” offering the finest selection and sturdiest warranties for Fabrica, Masland, Dixie Home and TruCor products.

Hardwoods is also part of the Shaw Flooring Network, a distinction shared by only a few showrooms in an area.

For 75 combined years, CSM and Hardwoods flooring design specialists GREENSBORO | WILMINGTON | BURLIN In and flooring installers have helped make homeowners’ décor dreams a reality. “Together, we choose the best styles, materials and options to match your design aspirations,” Watson said. “We also offer free in-home consultations to precisely assess and measure your flooring needs.” MEET HARDWOODS UNLIMITED, THE MEMBER OF THE CSM FLOORING F Introduc troducing GREENSBORO | WILMINGTON | BURLINGTON

NorthStar Medical Group

“We treat, He heals” Business Owners/Providers: Carter Bobbitt, MD, and Chase & Ashley Michaels, MHS PA-C

NorthStar Medical Group opened in Stokesdale this past February. The practice offers pediatric care, family medicine, and allergy and asthma care all under one roof.

Some of the unique aspects of the practice are that all three of its owners/providers are natives and/ or long-time residents of northwest Guilford County and they have all left corporate medicine to return to a patient-centered “hometown healthcare” model that they believe better suits their tight-knit, family-oriented community. On a personal/family note: Carter Bobbitt, MD, is married to Erin Clayton Bobbitt, a Northwest Viking alum. In 2014 the couple bought an old Scout camp that is now their home. Although the camp is not running, the Bobbitts are continually breathing new life into its historic structures and hosting church, school and family functions there. The Bobbitts have three children: Claire, 10, Oakley, 9, and Bennett, 8; the children attend Cornerstone Charter Academy and their family worships at Maplegate Christian Fellowship.

Chase and Ashley Michaels, MHS PA-C, trained together at Duke University School of Medicine and have been living and serving medically in the northwest community for 15+ years. Ashley is also a Northwest Viking alum.

The couple has two children, Ella, 8, and Conner, 5. Both Chase and Ashley coach soccer at Oak Ridge Park and are avid golfers. The Michaels’ children attend Revolution Academy in Summerfield and the
