z Farmers’ Day | Friends of Stokesdale invites local farmers to participate in the 2nd annual Farmers’ Day on Saturday, Oct. 7, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Stokesdale United Methodist Church, 8305 Loyola Drive. Farmers will be displaying their equipment and sharing their knowledge of Stokesdale’s farming history. Owners of small items from the early 1900s are encouraged to bring them for display. Equipment on tracks or hard, spiked wheels that may damage the turf must be trailered. There will once again be a Little Mr. and Miss Farmers’ Day contest for children ages infant to 7 years old.
