CONCEPT

The purpose of me to design the canble lamp is to reduce the chances of fire when youngster nowadays started to enjoy the aroma of the candle in their office and room when they are doing work.

By suggesting a green product which combine the table lamp and candle together in order to get light energy and the smell of the candle at the same time, the risks of fire due to candle can be minimised.

Design criteria :

The canble lamp which occupy less space on table. In the other hand, the canble lamp need to be portable so that it can be brought from one workplace to another workplace anytime. Since most of the students are living together with their roommate, it is neccessary to create a table lamp which can focus the light ray onto the working area.

Material : Double anodized aluminium metal Purpose: Resilient material for casing. It had a matte polished and extremely smooth surface for better hand feel. The anodizing process creates a stronger resistant to colour fading and corrosion. It is heat resistant as well.

3rd Place in the competition of Industrial Design

For this project, we are required to design a biochar container which work as a deodorizer.

My idea was to design a biochar container for the smoking area.

In this project, I explored some features which is suitable for the target location which I choosed.

OBJECTIVE The purpose of design the biochar container is to provide clean and refreshing air to the surrounding by filtering the air through biochar.

The target location of ELISmoke is at indoor smoking area and funtion as filtering the secondhand smoke which released by the smokers.

INSPIR ATION The purpose of doing this biochar container is to clean the polluted air surround us.

Therefore, I picked indoor smoking area as my target location.

Leaves and water drops give the feeling of refreshment. Therefore, I choosed leave as my inspiration which also bring the form and shape of water drop.

Design criteria :

Smoke air contains chemical substances that will enhance their density.

ELISmoke uses the technologies which can boost the speed of smoke air to flow into the container. After the air is purified by the charcoal, it can be flowed out easily from the container to the surrounding again.

Hence, the chemical substances in smoke air can be adsorb by the charcoal easier.

Emocy

This is a project that requires to design an educational toy for motor development, cognitive development, emotional development and social development.

In this project, my group member and I decided to create a educational toy which can develop the social skill and emotional skill among the kids in the range of 3-4 years old.

Based on our research, parents nowadays face a lot of pressure and stress from their work. As a result, parents might loset their emotional to their kids which they do not want. This phenomena will indirectly give some negative impacts to their kids and family. The purpose of design Emocy is to enhance social skills and emotional skills among the kids.

By suggesting an educational toy which focus on emotional development and social development, kids will learn how to differentiate the emotion of the people around them. Besides that, they are also able to learn how to interact with people carefully.

Jonker Street is one of the famous tourist spots in Melacca. The Jonker Boutique Hotel is one of the recommended hotel at there which we picked as our target location.

This is a tradisional chinese design hotel which is one of the favourite vacations place for foreigners to have fun with. However, the furniture at the lobby occupied quite a lot of space and block the walking way.

Thus, my group member and I planned to design a bench which occupy small space at the lobby.

Besides, to promote chinese traditional with the combination of tradisional and modern design.
