MSC Crew Services Phils. has resumed the deployment of Filipino crew for MSC Cruises. In fact, across the shipping cluster, deployment continued despite the varied state of lock downs the country went through over the last five months.

An initial 373 Filipino crew members were successfully deployed for MSC Grandiosa after MSC Cruises received clearance from the Italian government for the limited resumption of its operations. MSC Grandiosa features a 7-night cruise in the Western Mediterranean to be followed by MSC Magnifica for an East Mediterranean cruise itinerary.
Strict health and safety protocols approved by the Italian authorities are being implemented by MSC in the operation of its cruises to protect both its passengers and crew. With the new operating protocols in place, passengers are still treated to an unforgettable cruise experience with MSC’s world-class cuisine, unique entertainment offerings and leisure activities, and world-class amenities.
All 373 crew members underwent strict quarantine procedures and RT-PCR COVID testing prior to their departure. Each crew member was likewise provided with
an individual health kit. While infight, they followed strict protocols including the use of masks and face shields, safe distancing, frequent handwashing, and other important hygiene practices. Upon their arrival onboard, another round of RT-PCR test was conducted.
