FR. MARTINO “Just do it!” His story about his mission with One Body Village
Rising from humble beginnings as a refugee from Vietnam, Father Martino became one of the youngest catholic priests among the Vietnamese enclaves in the US. His passion and perseverance to inculcate hope in the hopeless led Father Martino to establish OBV in 2008 to serve as the champion for Vietnamese children trafficked and enslaved as sex workers in brothels around Southeast Asia, per‐ sonally rescuing children from brothels. Father Martino also serves as the Vice Chaplain General of Academic Affairs for VEYs and is currently a full time pastor at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ameri‐ cus, GA and Saint Michael in Montezuma, GA. Fa‐ ther Martino aspires to strengthen the Catholic’s faith among the faithful and is on an endless pur‐ suit to bring people closer to God.
FR. BÌNH “Take the lead – Take Up Your Cross”
During his assignment as Parochial Vicar for the Resurrection Parish in St. Louis, MO, Father Bình also served as General Chaplain for the Central Re‐ gion. A firm believer in the foundation of the VEYS, Father Bình is convinced that the VEYS has instilled in him the appreciation for happiness, the celebra‐ tion of life, and most importantly, the cultivation of his divine calling to the vocation of priesthood. Re‐ sponding to his passion for the VEYS, he took a bold step in seeking permission from his superior to ex‐ empt his work with the parish to dedicate his time entirely to the ministry of the VEYS. At present, he resides at one of the missionary facilities in Wash‐ ington, D.C. and is the Assistant General Chaplain of Administrative Affairs for VEYS and General Chap‐ lain for the Mid‐Atlantic Region.
