This October, Colorado Ballet will bring back Dracula, an all-time audience favorite, to kick-off the 2022/2023 Season. Then, just in time to ring-in the holiday season, the Company will present The Nutcracker, featuring our stunning new sets and costumes for the second time. Rounding out the season in 2023, the production line-up will include Lady of the Camellias, Cinderella and Ballet MasterWorks.

With both Dracula and The Nutcracker on the horizon, we invite you to secure your tickets early to guarantee the best available seats before our season goes on sale to the public on July 15, 2022. DRACULA OCTOBER 7-16, 2022

Back by popular demand, this spooky and blood-curdling drama makes a tantalizing return to the stage. Based on Bram Stoker’s classic gothic horror story, Michael Pink’s Dracula features captivating sets and costumes, spine-tingling special effects, and Philip Feeney’s original score performed live by the Colorado Ballet Orchestra. This eerie retelling of the immortal Count Dracula will enthrall audiences until the last bite.

THE NUTCRACKER NOVEMBER 26-DECEMBER 24, 2022

The Nutcracker returns to spark delight and joy for the holiday season. For the second year, audiences will see this beloved tradition brought to life by Colorado Ballet’s new sets and costumes, created especially for the Company by internationally renowned designers Holly Hynes and Thomas Boyd. Join Clara, the Nutcracker Prince, and her army of toy soldiers once again as they battle the Mouse King and journey to the Kingdom of the Sugar Plum Fairy.

LADY OF THE CAMELLIAS FEBRUARY 3-12, 2023

Colorado Ballet will treat audiences with a Denver premiere of Val Caniparoli’s full-length ballet Lady of the Camellias. Based on the romantic novel by Alexandre Dumas fils, Lady of the Camellias tells the story of love, loss, and betrayal made famous by other adaptations including Giuseppe Verdi’s opera La Traviata and the film Moulin Rouge. Caniparoli’s ballet follows Marguerite and Armand, a beautiful courtesan and a young gentleman who fall passionately in love, much to the dismay of his family and her jealous protector, the Baron de Varville. Experience the beauty and heartbreak of Lady of the Camellias, featuring music by Frédéric Chopin, scenic design by David Gano, and costume design by Robert De La Rose.

CINDERELLA MARCH 10-19, 2023

A classic fairytale, Cinderella returns to Colorado Ballet for the first time since 2014. Families, children, and those young at heart alike will enjoy this enchanting story of true love brought to life by Ben Stevenson’s mesmerizing choreography, Sergei Prokofiev’s famous music, and dreamy sets and costumes. Brimming with fairy godmothers, evil stepsisters, and spellbinding magic, Cinderella will make you believe in happily ever after.

BALLET MASTERWORKS APRIL 14-23, 2023

To close the 2022/2023 Season, Colorado Ballet presents monumental 20th century repertoire in MasterWorks, with live music performed by the Colorado Ballet Orchestra. The program will feature Jirí Kylián’s Sinfonietta, choreographed to the stunning musical work by Leoš Janácek of the same name, as well as two other repertory works. Kylián’s ballet will finally make its celebratory appearance in Denver as the rescheduled presentation from March 2020.
