This implementation guide has taken you through the process of putting a SMS in place for your organization, supported by the CertiKit ISO20000 Toolkit. Hopefully, you will have seen that most of what is involved is applied common sense, even if the standard does not always make it sound that way!

Implementing a management system such as ISO20000 is always a culture change towards becoming more proactive as an organization and, with the day-to-day reactive pressures of delivering IT services, it can sometimes seem daunting. However, we hope you will find that it is well worth the effort as you come to the gradual realization that it is really the only effective way of doing it.
